Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., is asking the Trump Administration’s legal enforcement arm to formally investigate abortion drug dealer marketplace Plan C for flouting the law by advertising the shipment of mifepristone to states where it is banned.

Hawley previously introduced legislation to ban the popular and dangerous abortion drug and give survivors a legal remedy against foreign abortion pill makers. Successfully curbing the illicit shipping of those pills into states where they are banned requires more, including intervention from the Department of Justice in the form of a criminal investigation, he wrote in a criminal referral on Monday.

“At the center of the effort is an entity called Plan C, a left-wing dark-money operation that styles itself a ‘public health information campaign’ but functions, in practice, as the referral and logistics hub for shipping abortion drugs into states whose laws prohibit it,” Hawley wrote in his letter to Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche.

More than a dozen states ban mifepristone for chemical abortions. Yet, websites like Plan C enable anyone with Internet access, even people in pro-life states, to order abortion pills to their door in less than a minute.

Siebel Newsom was there to watch Newsom sign an executive order that was driven by her work as an advocate for survivors of trafficking. On its surface, the order may not sound like much and isn’t likely to make the news. It calls for most of the major state agencies to come up with a plan within 60 days to work together to curb trafficking and help survivors.

A new State Department report contends Cuba has spent years quietly building a network of sympathetic American activist groups it can mobilize against U.S. policy, citing a recently circulated nationwide protest plan as evidence.

The plan, distributed in June as the “National Rapid Response Plan,” came from the National Network on Cuba (NNOC), a U.S. coalition of more than 60 organizations. The State Department ties the coalition to Havana through the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, or ICAP, a Cuban entity sanctioned in June over alleged support for Cuban intelligence operations.

The document instructs organizers to launch “coordinated nationwide actions” within 24 hours of any U.S. strike on Cuba, aiming to make it “politically and materially costly for the U.S. government to wage war on Cuba.” The report calls the plan proof of Cuba’s “subversive capabilities on American territory.”

Organizers are told to converge on federal buildings, courthouses, military bases and ICE facilities. The plan seeks to “connect Cuba solidarity to anti-ICE/immigrant defense work happening nationwide” and points activists to a database mapping 1,335 U.S. military and law-enforcement sites in the Western Hemisphere.

While it is great that SCOTUS sided on the “right side of history,” the amount of damage caused by this should not be taken lightly. Officials, both local and all the way to federal, turned a blind eye and slapped Springfield residents in the face, solely because they deemed a group of foreign nationals less fortunate. You cannot return after betrayal like this, and it is astonishing how the media is painting this as if the deportations are a bad thing for Americans.

In one of Ohio’s largest populations of Haitian immigrants in Springfield, community leaders are concerned about another challenge that could create — more vacant homes.

Houses boarded up and abandoned are a reminder of a problem Springfield has spent years trying to fix. But with uncertainty around immigration status and Haitian families moving out because of it, city leaders worry the city could face another wave of empty houses.

President Donald Trump championed multiple funding roadblocks for abortion providers in 2025, and rescinded Hyde Amendment violations instituted by the Biden administration. Between revolutionary democratic socialists and establishment liberals, even the media has struggled to pick sides in the battle for the heart of the party. MS NOW’s Joe Scarborough, however, seems to have settled on a choice. On Monday’s Morning Joe, he urged the establishment to let the socialists waltz right on in.

Beginning the segment, Scarborough couldn’t seem to understand why party officials might not want to let socialists and communists into their party. Why can’t we all just get along?

Senate Republicans are looking at going their own way on government funding, as House Republicans try to move a stopgap spending bill this week to fund the government until after the midterm elections.

GOP lawmakers in the Senate have had conversations with Democrats on moving a stopgap spending bill while also talking with the White House about anomalies, according to a person granted anonymity to disclose private discussions.

Sen. Patty Murray (Wash.), the top Democratic appropriator in the Senate, said she has had conversations with Appropriations Chair Susan Collins (R-Maine) about a Senate version of a stopgap spending bill along with potential “anomalies,” which are specific exceptions or exemptions to the flat funding of a continuing resolution usually noted to prevent disruptions to key services.

Murray wants to see if the House can get their legislation across the floor.

“Let’s see what happens in the House,” she said in an interview Monday.

Murray warned that chamber’s measure likely won’t have her support if it makes it through the House and over to the Senate.

“I understand there’s some real flaws with it. I am happy to look at a bipartisan CR, but I understand there’s some real problems on the House side,” she said.

The Pentagon has withheld information about dozens of service members injured during the war with Iran, The New York Times reported on Monday, citing US officials.

On Friday, Iran struck a US military site in Jordan, killing two soldiers, wounding four, and leaving one missing. According to the Times, however, dozens of service members were injured throughout the week in three other strikes against US forces in the country. Several helicopters were also reportedly damaged in the attacks.

An official told CNN that “it can take several days or even weeks” for an injury to be logged into the Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS), an official database. A total of 427 service members have been injured in the war with Iran, the Times said, citing official figures.

Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell argued that “providing real-time information on non-fatal casualties to the media is the same as providing that information directly to our adversaries.”

If history is any guide, Republicans should be bracing for a difficult midterm. With the lone exceptions of 1998 and 2002, the party occupying the White House has lost House seats in virtually every modern midterm election, fueling Democratic confidence about retaking the chamber next year. But a new poll suggests the outcome may not be quite the slam dunk Democrats are anticipating. Republicans may be in a stronger position than many analysts have assumed.

A Washington Post/Ipsos poll released on Saturday asked participants which political party they trusted to handle the economy better. Despite the spike in energy prices due to the war with Iran, Republicans held a four-point advantage, with 39% choosing the GOP compared with 35% who selected the Democrats.

Likewise, despite the Left’s portrayal of President Donald Trump as a reckless authoritarian bent on destroying “our democracy,” Republicans also narrowly led on the question of which party voters agreed with more on “important issues.” Forty-one percent sided with the GOP, while 40% chose the Democrats.
