EXCERPT:

A New York state lawmaker is calling on the Department of Justice to open a civil rights investigation into New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani following two Manhattan stabbings being investigated as possible hate crimes.

New York State Assemblyman Michael Novakhov, who represents Brooklyn’s District 45, announced the request Sunday during an End Jew Hatred rally in New York City.

Alongside video of his announcement, Novakhov wrote on Instagram:

“If the DOJ stepped in to protect Jewish students at Columbia, it must now step in to protect Jewish New Yorkers.”

Lawmaker Demands Federal Investigation

Novakhov said he would send a formal letter asking the Justice Department to investigate New York State, New York City, and Mamdani.

He specifically called on federal officials “and most importantly to investigate Mamdani’s hatred against the Jewish population of New York City and New York State.”

Mamdani’s office did not immediately issue a response.

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch believes America is merely a set of ideas. But when it comes to explaining where those ideas came from, he apparently has no idea.

In an interview with PBS’ Firing Line with Margaret Hoover, Gorsuch rejected the fact that the United States was founded as a Christian nation.

“We have a First Amendment, for crying out loud. No established religion,” Gorsuch said to defend the position that the country’s founding did not rest on a single religion.

“We were never supposed to be a nation that was about one race or one religion,” Gorsuch said, seemingly unaware of Federalist Paper No. 2 by John Jay. “It was about those ideas.”

The “ideas” referenced by Gorsuch are equality, individual rights, and self-government, ideas he points out were enshrined in our founding documents.

A Michigan physician assistant (PA) who alleged she was fired after refusing to comply with hospital transgender policies because of her religious beliefs is receiving a $410,000 settlement in her wrongful termination lawsuit.

Valerie Kloosterman sued University of Michigan Health-West (UMHW) filed suit in 2022 after she was fired in August 2021, alleging the 200-bed suburban Grand Rapids teaching hospital was requiring her to go against her conscience as a Christian.

“All I wanted to do was provide the best care possible to my patients without being forced to violate my Christian beliefs,” Kloosterman said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

She was represented in the lawsuit by First Liberty Institute, which documented that Kloosterman had “received positive performance reviews throughout her employment before raising faith-based objections to mandatory gender identity training,” the news outlet reported.

The legal advocacy nonprofit reported she was terminated after requesting a religious accommodation from finishing training that “required her to affirm statements about gender identity that were in violation of her Christian faith.”

No effort was made to accommodate her, according to the institute which takes on civil rights cases to “reclaim religious freedom in America.”

According to Fox Digital’s report:

The lawsuit says University of Michigan Health-West officials called her to a meeting, where they disparaged her religious beliefs, called her “evil” and a “liar,” told her she could not bring her Christian beliefs into the workplace, and accused her of contributing to suicides among individuals with gender dysphoria.

The following message was sent out by Not Dead Yet UK:

By now you’ll know that the assisted dying bill is back.

On 17 June, Labour MP Lauren Edwards introduced a new version of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill. MPs will vote on whether it should proceed at its second reading on 11 September 2026. That’s less than two months away.

So what’s new?Honestly? Not much.

This is the same bill Kim Leadbeater brought forward in 2024 — the one that spent months being picked apart in the House of Lords, generating more than 1,300 amendments before running out of time in April. The bill fell not because it was defeated, but because Parliament was prorogued. Now it’s back, with two minor Lords amendments incorporated.

The first is a technical Wales amendment. Because delivering health services is devolved to the Welsh Government, the bill now requires the Senedd to give its approval before Welsh Ministers can set up the regulations for assisted dying in Wales. It’s a constitutional housekeeping change. It doesn’t alter what the bill actually does.

The second concerns people with eating disorders. This one is more serious. During the Lords debates earlier this year, peers raised concerns that someone with anorexia could potentially stop eating — deliberately — in order to reach the six-month terminal threshold and qualify for an assisted death. A minor amendment was added in the Lords to address this. But experts who work with people with eating disorders say it doesn’t go far enough. The loophole, they argue, remains. We agree.

A man is in custody following an anti-Catholic act of vandalism at Medjugorje, a town in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has been a place of Catholic pilgrimage since the Virgin Mary allegedly appeared on Apparition Hill in 1981. Video shows the man setting fire around the altar.

The suspect also sprayed black spray paint on several statues, including one of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The graffiti read “Devil in a skirt” and “1242.”

In a 2-1 ruling the U.S. Court of Appeals of the First Circuit ruled Christian private schools that take any funds from the state of Maine can legally be required to openly accept and celebrate homonormativity even though it directly contradicts God’s Word.

The court wrote, “Just as combatting religious discrimination qualifies as a legitimate governmental pursuit, so too combatting sexual-orientation and gender-identity discrimination rises to that level.”

The ruling effectively forces Christian schools to withdraw all business with the state. If upheld by SCOTUS, it would create a hierarchy of value of rights that favored sexuality and gender fluidity over religious belief. This would end religious freedom in America, as it has ended, for now, in Maine.

Religious schools that get public funds must follow Maine’s antidiscrimination laws, court rules – Texarkana Gazette
News Source

EXCERPT:

Private religious schools that receive public funds must follow state laws that prohibit discrimination based on gender identity, sexual orientation or religion, a federal court ruled last week.

The ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston came after two schools — Saint Dominic Academy in Auburn and Bangor Christian Schools, run by Crosspoint Church — asked for exemptions from the Maine Human Rights Act so they wouldn’t be required to enforce policies that contradicted their religious beliefs, such as admitting students who were openly gay or transgender, for instance, or requiring teachers to use students’ preferred pronouns.

The appeals court largely upheld a lower court’s decision denying this exemption, but it differed in its opinion of the state’s rules around religious expression and asked that the lower court reconsider how that provision applies to religious schools.

A panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals of the Ninth Circuit ruled 2-1 that a Christian teacher in a public school cannot show students any material that contradicts the school’s supremacist LGBTQ plus ideology. This ideology compels forced acceptance of belief, including gender fluidity and transitioning children, which is an existential challenge to American Rule of Law, where no entity, government or private, can compel belief or speech.

The dissenting Judge, Lawrence VanDyke, wrote, “Could public school administrators establish a policy allowing office decoration with partisan political messages deemed sufficiently ‘compassionate’ but prohibit—as inherently ‘hostile’—any political speech that did not align with the Democratic Socialists of America platform?…

If your instinctual answer to each of these questions is ‘No!’… you might be an everyday American. But according to the majority today, you vastly overestimate the First Amendment’s guarantee of free speech in our nation’s schools. In a decision that is irreconcilable with Supreme Court precedent, the majority announces an expansive new rule that all expression by public-school employees that might be observed by students is necessarily government speech, and not the personal speech of an American citizen—even when any reasonable observer would perceive the speech as the employee’s own personal expression.”

In completely ignoring the Supreme Court’s landmark free speech ruling in Kennedy v. Bremerton, the federal appellate court insists that staff who express beliefs that don’t align with a school’s established orthodoxy can be fired.

[UPDATE] On Tuesday, a panel of judges for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled that Oregon social worker Rod Theis has no free speech right to display books in his public school office that disagree with radical gender ideology — and that his firing was justified.

Theis, a devout Christian, used to work as an education specialist for InterMountain Education Service District, which required him to travel to different district schools to administer standardized tests to students. He was not a teacher and rarely had contact with most students but did have office space in two of the districts’ schools.

Many InterMountain district staff, including teachers, are allowed to decorate their classrooms and offices with various posters, flags, and books that promote Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ messages, pride flags, political candidates, views on political and social topics, and more. While still employed there, Theis followed their lead by displaying three children’s books — Johnny the Walrus, He is He, and She is She — in his offices. The three books teach the biblical view that sex is unchanging and that children should accept themselves as the sex they were born.

Though no student or parent ever complained about the books, one teacher in 2024 researched the books online, determined that they promote a “binary view of gender,” and filed a complaint, claiming that the three books are “transphobic” and therefore offensive. In response, InterMountain officials ordered Theis to remove the books. He filed a lawsuit and received an injunction from a district court that allowed him to display the books when students were not present. Soon thereafter, the same hostile teacher sent several students to Theis’s office, asking to see the books, to which he eventually agreed; the staff member caught Theis on video showing the books to the students, and the school district fired him.

“First-of-their-kind” transgender-identified paper dolls featuring removable genitalia are expected to be introduced in the fall in some classrooms for children as young as four years old, according to the University of Minnesota researchers who developed the project.

The dolls, which have gender-neutral names including “Sam,” “Rory,” “Avery,” and “Parker,” include removable internal and external genitalia and more than 100 interchangeable clothing, hairstyle, and accessory pieces designed to facilitate conversations about gender and anatomy, according to the MyGender Dolls website.

The project originated at the University of Minnesota Medical School’s Institute for Sexual and Gender Health after more than six years of research. It has since been spun into a commercial venture, MyGender Dolls. The university’s research reportedly included sessions in which transgender-identifying and other children, along with their parents, were paid between $20 and $60 to play with the dolls and discuss gender and anatomy. In addition, photographs presented during a 2024 conference reportedly showed prototype dolls depicting various stages of gender transition, including removable anatomy and interchangeable clothing.

A school chaplain in the United Kingdom who was fired and blacklisted after preaching a sermon on LGBTQ issues has reached a confidential settlement with his former employer, ending a seven-year legal battle.

The Rev. Bernard Randall, an ordained Church of England minister, worked for five years as chaplain at Trent College, an independent school for K-12 students in Derbyshire, England. In 2018, Randall grew concerned when the school partnered with Educate and Celebrate, an outside group whose stated goal was to “smash heteronormativity” and embed queer theory in school culture. The group has since dissolved.

“I objected to [it] at the time it started, and tried to discuss it with the senior leadership, [but] they weren’t interested,” Randall told Fox News Digital.

The following year, a student asked Randall why pupils were required to accept LGBTQ ideology at a Christian school. Randall said that question, along with similar concerns raised by other students and staff, prompted him to deliver a sermon on freedom of belief and conscience.

The Pope has approved another bishop under the Vatican’s deal with China, a policy critics say has accelerated the persecution of the underground Church. The pattern is clear: the Vatican is rewarding institutions that promote gender ideology and regimes that suppress the faith.

We take a look at the growing divide: bishops who defend the Traditional Latin Mass face restrictions, while universities that promote “Queer Jesus” theology receive papal recognition. Cardinals Sarah and Burke have called for broader access to the Latin Mass, but their voices are increasingly marginalized. The faithful are watching. The hierarchy is silent. And the Pope is sending mixed signals that leave everyone confused.

This is not a series of isolated incidents, it is a direction. A direction away from tradition, away from clarity, and away from the Catholic faith as it has always been understood. The question is whether anyone in Rome will notice before it is too late.

‘1 in every 630 boys in Oregon received cross-sex hormones.’

A new study in the Oxford University Press journal Research Connections provides some idea of the scale of this campaign and just how many victims it has already created in Oregon — a state whose health plan will cover virtually any sex-rejection drug or procedure, no matter how cosmetic, if deemed “medically necessary” by a doctor.

Researchers from Comagine Health, a nonprofit health care consulting firm, used the multi-payer claims database operated by their organization to identify so-called “transgender and gender-diverse” adolescents in the Beaver State, ages 8-17. The data researchers relied on was from 2016 to 2023.

After identifying 8,480 gender-confused adolescents among the 868,740 insured adolescents in the system, the researchers “assessed receipt of puberty blockers and gender-affirming hormone therapies using procedural codes.”

They found in Oregon that:

  • the median age of first gender-dysphoria diagnosis was 14;
  • 1.51% of all covered female patients and 0.46% of all covered male patients ages 8-17 in the seven-year period received gender dysphoria diagnoses;
  • 75.8% of the patients with gender dysphoria diagnoses were female;
  • the median time span from diagnosis to medical interference was 294 days;
  • the median age for initial sex-rejection medical interventions was 15;
  • 23.35% of victims received medical “gender-affirming care”;
  • 19.72% of victims received cross-sex hormones;
  • 8.21% used puberty blockers, drugs that have long been used to chemically castrate sex offenders; and
  • the use of puberty blockers and hormone replacement procedures skyrocketed during the timeframe, especially between 2020 and 2023.

The researchers claimed that “despite growing attention, medical [gender-affirming care] is accessed by only a small proportion of adolescents in the United States.”

Leor Sapir, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, noted in a recent article for the Wall Street Journal that this supposedly “small proportion” is actually tragically high.

Citing the study, Sapir highlighted that “at age 17, roughly 1 in every 240 girls and 1 in every 630 boys in Oregon received cross-sex hormones for ‘gender dysphoria’ between 2016 and 2023. These figures are triple and double the national average for girls and boys, respectively.”

Sapir noted further that cross-sex hormone use among 14- and 15-year-olds in Oregon — the only American state to formally adopt the so-called standards of care issued by the scandal-plagued World Professional Association for Transgender Health — was four to five times the national rate.

In November, the Department of Health and Human Services published an exhaustive peer-reviewed report that stressed that “the harms from sex-rejecting procedures — including puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical operations — are significant, long term, and too often ignored or inadequately tracked.”

The previous year, just months prior to National Health Service England banning puberty blockers at so-called gender-identity clinics, the United Kingdom’s landmark Cass Review revealed that:

  • the “systematic review showed no clear evidence that social transition in childhood has any positive or negative mental health outcomes, and relatively weak evidence for any effect in adolescence”;
  • puberty blockers “exert their intended effect in suppressing puberty,” but compromise bone density and have no apparent impact on “gender dysphoria or body satisfaction”;
  • there is a dearth of consistent evidence about the “effect of puberty suppression on psychological or psychosocial well-being, cognitive development, cardio-metabolic risk or fertility”;
  • there is a lack of high-quality research assessing the outcomes of hormone interventions in adolescents confused about their sex; and
  • the so-called science regarding “gender-affirming care” is “an area of remarkably weak evidence” built on “shaky foundations.”

Despite the mountain of evidence showing that so-called “gender-affirming care” is not only destructive but ineffective in terms of achieving the promoters’ own aims, the Democrats running Oregon show no signs of abandoning their war on young bodies.

For instance, Democratic Gov. Tina Kotek, a self-identified lesbian, ratified new legislation in May aimed at shielding providers of sex-rejection drugs and mutilations from civil lawsuits, professional discipline, and loss of malpractice insurance, as well as at ensuring uninterrupted coverage for Oregon Health Plan patients utilizing Planned Parenthood for “essential health services.”

Kotek did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Blaze News.

In what appears to be a move to save an illegal alien from deportation, Tim Walz has pardoned an illegal alien convicted of raping a child. He was joined on a three-member pane by Democrats Keith Ellison and Natalie Hudson. Ellison is Minnesota’s Attorney General. Hudson is the state’s Chief Justice.

DHS spokeswoman Lauren Bis responded to the decision, claiming “Tou Lue Vang lost his legal status following his conviction for repeatedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.”

Vang is obviously Walz’s kind of illegal alien, even more so than the rest. Note in the history of the case, Vang said Laotian men routinely “marry” girls as young as 12.  They just repeatedly rape girls as young as 10 to what?  Prepare them for marriage at 12?

The DHS is not amused:

Though Walz bears ultimate responsibility, two others were also responsible for this unpardonable pardon:

The pardon came from a three-person panel that included Walz, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), and Minnesota Chief Justice Natalie Hudson. You can’t even pretend that Trump’s immigration policies weren’t a factor because, as the Daily Mail reported, “Ellison also cited President Donald Trump’s expansive use of executive pardon power in his statement defending his pardon of the pedophile.”

But why would these leftist idiots want to pardon a man who, over four years, repeatedly raped a 10-year-old girl? He’s also a cheapskate who tried to pay her $10 to shut her up. Apart from a complete lack of morality and betrayal of their duty to keep Minnesotans safe, it’s Trump Derangement Syndrome:

DHS spokeswoman Lauren Bis laid out exactly what happened here. “Tou Lue Vang lost his legal status following his conviction for repeatedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl,” she said, adding that the pardon wipes his conviction from the record entirely. A DHS spokesperson called Walz “disgusting” for granting the pardon. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin went further, calling the move “horrific” in a statement on X.

“This evil alien from Laos repeatedly sexually assaulted a 10-year-old child,” Mullin said. “These are the illegal alien criminals sanctuary politicians like Tim Walz are protecting over American citizens.”

As one would expect, the Minnesota Star Tribune, public-spirited as ever, is solidly behind Walz and his fellow rapist pardoners:

Victim’s forgiveness was key in pardon of Tou Lue Vang, Hmong man facing deportation

Amazingly, until one realizes this is Minnesota, Vang wasn’t in the Pen. He was serving a 30-year probation. Here’s where it gets even more disgusting, if that were possible:

On June 10, the Board of Pardons — consisting of Walz, Ellison and state Supreme Court Chief Justice Natalie Hudson — voted to purge Vang’s felony sexual assault conviction. The deciding factor was a letter from Vang’s victim saying she forgave him and supported his pardon.

The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office, which prosecuted Vang, opposed his pardon. Tami McConkey, director of the office’s Victim, Witness and Postconviction Justice Division, wrote that Vang received a lighter sentence of 30 years probation for the offense because the victim “was experiencing pressure from her family to not cooperate.”

But of course! One wonders how much pressure the victim was receiving from Minnesota authorities to provide cover for their flaunting of President Trump and federal immigration law? If you’ve a strong stomach, read Vang’s pardon letter:

Author” src=”https://images.americanthinker.com/af/afq26wdviylbbd3hirrc_640.jpg” />

Graphic: X Post

“Congratulations! You repeatedly raped a little girl, didn’t spend a day in the pen, and now it’s going to be much more difficult to kick you out of the country. Of course, Minnesota really isn’t part of America, so we’ll use every resource of the People’s Republic of Minnesota to fight your deportation

Among the sacraments of the left is the idea that Americans have no moral standing to criticize the cultures of other lands. Who are we to suggest our culture, which doesn’t countenance raping little girls, is superior? Who are we to demand the peoples of cultures at least equally moral, or more so, adopt our cultural practices and obey our colonialist, white supremacist laws?

One wonders how many other little girls Vang might have practiced his superior culture with during those 30 years? One also wonders just how attentive Vang’s probation officers were over that period. I’m sure they were thrilled to learn Vang would be their career.  Even if they tried to do their duty, would their superiors have allowed it? Vang, after all, is a member of a protected, oppressed, victim class, and even more so when immigration law was suddenly enforced.

Ultimately, it shouldn’t matter whether a rape victim, some 30 years later, forgives her rapist. Forgiveness is an admirable quality and arguably good for the soul, but it should have no place in the criminal justice system, which gets every iota of its power on loan from Americans, and whose duty is to protect Americans from child rapists. Americans are kind of funny in expecting that kind of thing.

States Toughen Penalties for Disrupting Religious Services › American Greatness amgreatness.com

EXCERPT:

States across the country are beginning to impose tougher criminal penalties on protesters who disrupt church services and other religious gatherings following a high-profile demonstration inside a Minnesota church earlier this year.

At least four states have approved new laws this year aimed at protecting worship services from disruptions, while similar legislation has been introduced in several other states and in Congress.

Supporters of the measures say the laws are needed as churches and synagogues remain on heightened alert following years of violence and politically charged confrontations targeting religious institutions. They say existing trespassing laws are insufficient to deter increasingly aggressive protests.

“People should go to church to be able to sit in peace, worship as they please, without having to worry about people coming in and harassing them,” Mark Harris said after co-sponsoring legislation in Idaho. “I think the thing that happened in Minnesota was kind of a shock to some of us, that churches would be used as a place to berate people.”

Pro-lifers are often accused of opposing abortion solely for religious reasons. If you follow Secular Pro-Life on Twitter long enough, you will see tweets from pro-choicers claiming SPL is really a Christian group. Some pro-abortion people say that atheists like me who oppose abortion are closet Christians who have no reason for our views except for our (alleged) faith.

Pro-abortion people have also used this argument to discredit religious pro-lifers. Even when a religious pro-lifer relies solely on secular arguments, they almost invariably hear that they only oppose abortion because their religion tells them to.

Sometimes, though, it is pro-choicers who have religious beliefs that drive them to support abortion. Some people having abortions use their religious beliefs to justify their choices. Many times, these religious beliefs, and the excuses and justifications derived from them, sound absurd.

“Reiki master” and spirit guide claim baby is happy to be aborted

In a 2006 article in The Daily Mail by Natasha Pearlman and Jenny Nisbet called “Abortion: The Legacy,” one woman tells her abortion story and gives a good example of this.

Get the latest pro-life news and information on X (Twitter).

The article isn’t online, but you can read an excerpt here [https://clinicquotes.com/woman-says-her-baby-was-happy-to-be-aborted]. (Note: This link contains a graphic photo.)

The article quotes a British woman who was considering aborting her baby. She wanted advice, but says, “I felt there was no one else to turn to for impartial advice; all my family and friends were emotionally involved.”

So instead of turning to someone she knew, she contacted a woman who referred to herself as a “Reiki master and spiritual healer.”

This woman, like many new age practitioners, claimed to be in contact with a “spirit guide,” — a deceased disembodied spirit that helped her communicate with other spirits.

The women telling her abortion story asks the “Reiki master” to have her spirit guide connect with the spirit of her preborn baby. This is what the “Reiki master” says:

She said she had a very strong sense that the baby wasn’t 100 percent perfect and that he was happy to go to the other side but would be back again soon.

The woman said, “Immediately, I felt enormously relieved because I’d been feeling so guilty.”

Satisfied that her preborn baby was fine with being aborted and would return to her at another time, she booked her abortion appointment in a local hospital.

At the hospital, she says she “couldn’t bear” to look at the ultrasound. However, a nurse told her that her baby was a boy.

She was in her twelfth week of pregnancy, which means she was carrying a ten-week-old preborn child. (This is because length of pregnancy is counted as days from the last menstrual period, about two weeks before conception.)

As you can see from the ultrasound below, her child was already very developed.

The baby she aborted had had a beating heart for seven weeks. He had a brain that was giving off waves.   A baby at 12 weeks responds to touch and shows a startle reaction.

This woman’s baby was already right or left-handed. Not only did he have hands and fingers, he even had fingerprints.

In a first-trimester abortion, the powerful suction would have torn the child apart violently, limb from limb.

Despite her belief that her child was okay with being aborted, the abortion was hard for this mother. She says, “[T]he only way I got through the termination was knowing that the spirit of my foetus had forgiven me and that he was going to come back.”

There have been other cases where pregnant people have allegedly communicated with their preborn babies and gotten permission from them to have abortions.

Telling your baby he is loved – before you kill him

Consider the article “Conscious Abortion: Engaging the Fetus in a Compassionate Dialogue” by Claudette Nantel, which appeared in the Journal of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health [https://www.birthpsychology.com/wp-content/uploads/journal/published_paper/volume-35/issue-2/t4XGTAVq.pdf].

Nantel openly admits the humanity of preborn babies. She defines “fetus,” as “an unborn baby in its mother’s womb, at any time from conception to birth.”

Nantel quotes practitioners who work with pregnant people to help them communicate with their babies before they abort them.

She quotes family doctor G. McGarey suggesting that someone having an abortion should have “a heart-to-heart conversation with her baby in the womb, explaining how this is not a good time for her to raise a child, reassuring them that they are deeply loved.”

Most people don’t kill the people they love, but McGarey tells pregnant people that as long as the baby knows you love them, aborting them is fine.

Another practitioner, M. Axness, says women having abortions should communicate with the baby:

through prayer, imagination, art, letter, dance, song—a level of communication with the newly arrived being in their wombs through which they explain to the baby that it isn’t the right time for him or her to come and that it is necessary to separate.

While belief in telepathy isn’t exactly a religious belief, it is another belief and claim that science can ’t prove. It is, for this reason, quasi-religious.

Asking babies to consent to their abortions

HH Watkins has women with unwanted pregnancies ask the baby to consent to their abortion. The child, according to Watkins and Nantel, will then telepathically communicate to the mother that they agree to be aborted.

She instructs pregnant people to connect with their preborn babies, get their permission for the abortion, and then abort without guilt, knowing that their babies consented to be killed.

This process, Watkins says, leads the aborting person to have “a deeper sense of self, more respect for life, and positive feelings about a better-timed future pregnancy through the process of dialogue with their baby.”

Unsurprisingly, in all but one case, every time Watkins did this exercise with a pregnant person, the pregnant person “heard” their baby give permission for the abortion. Clearly, these people hear what they want to hear.

What about the one exception? Well, the woman had the abortion, anyway.

After getting the “answer,” of no, the woman says to her baby, “You don’t mean that?”

The thought that a child might not agree to be dismembered or poisoned was shocking to her.

Watkins recalls what the pregnant woman did next:

[She] continued the process of weeping and talking to the fetus at home until there was only silence in response. She concluded the fetus accepted her intended surgical intervention…

The surgical intervention was accomplished without complication, healing was rapid, and the client felt little or no remorse. She knew at all levels she had made the appropriate decision for herself.

Lives sacrificed to convey a message

Nantel gives another example of a woman who allegedly got her babies’ permission for abortions. This woman had three abortions. With the first, she didn’t attempt to communicate with the baby because, she says “I was much more centered on myself and my life circumstances than on the baby.”

She claimed to have had an “intimate relationship” with the other two babies, who agreed to be aborted.

The woman explains:

I never felt I was doing them harm. Just before the abortion for each of them, I asked the lady who showed me the ultrasound screen to give me five minutes alone with the baby before the intervention.

I spoke to each of them in a fluid, soft manner, more like saying, ‘Thank you, see you later…’ The ultrasound screen conversations were way of recognizing the relationship, expressing my gratitude…

It was so clear for me that these two children had not come to me saying, ‘Let me be born.’

She came to believe that her babies intended to teach her a life lesson through the pregnancy and subsequent abortions.

These babies helped me, and I acted on what they helped me with. I honored them. And they had a tremendous healing effect on the guilt and angst which I carried a long time during and after my first abortion.

The babies, she says, were “beings who were my equals, partners in learning.”

The universe sacrificing others on one’s behalf

I ran into this kind of thinking in a writing group I attended a few years ago. A woman at the meeting believed that everything in the universe worked for her benefit.

In keeping with the religious concept (often known as “manifesting,”) if one wants something, they just need to ask the universe for it. If they really believe that the universe will deliver, it will. If it doesn’t, of course, the person doesn’t have enough faith.

This woman told the group that she had done this, and several months later, her husband died. This, she said, was an answer from the universe, because it set her free to pursue her writing career full-time.

I wasn’t sure what was more shocking- the incredible self-centeredness of someone who believes the universe kills people for her benefit, or that the others in attendance were nodding in agreement. I left the group as quickly as I could and never went back.

The writer’s view was in keeping with the belief that the entire universe revolved around her and her alone.

(She did say that after her husband’s death, she communicated with his spirit, and he told her he was at peace with dying to promote her career. I guess that lets her sleep at night.)

Woman “channels her highest self” and determines her baby chose to be aborted

The last story comes from Anna Runkle, a Planned Parenthood worker who counsels women in abortion clinics. Her book In Good Conscience: A Practical, Emotional, and Spiritual Guide to Deciding Whether to Have an Abortion was written to help pregnant people decide whether to have abortions.

In the book, she tells the stories of several women. Once was a 40-year-old woman named Claudia.

Claudia explained how her preborn baby, whom she named Rose, communicated with her from the womb and told her having an abortion was okay:

I got into the car and sat there and [the baby] spoke to me. She says, ‘I am looking forward to having you be my mother, but I want you to know this is your decision and whatever decision you make is perfectly fine with me. If you choose not to continue this pregnancy, I will be waiting.’1

Claudia says, “I sat in the car and cried for about an hour, feeling very grateful and very sad at the same time.”2

She had her abortion, and about a month later, had a session with her “ministers.” She explains that “[i]n my practice, we channel our higher selves.”

While “channeling her higher self” (whatever that means) she got the following “message” from her aborted baby:

[T]he message that I received during this counseling was very similar to the reassurance that my child Rose had given me in the car. Ever since then, I have felt a full heart relationship with this being…the relationship has given me great comfort and has been a source of joy for me…

I also believe that souls choose to be born or to live a certain amount of time in the womb and then depart, or they choose to be aborted…

Given my agreement with my child, who is eternal, I did nothing other than delay her return to the earth by agreement with her.3

Clauda’s religious belief, which she holds onto despite a complete lack of evidence for it, is that her baby chose to be aborted and will return to live in the future. She even claims she has a “relationship” with the baby she had killed.

The level of religious delusion and cognitive dissonance here, and in the other examples, is astounding.

I am an atheist. As such, I don’t believe religious claims without evidence. I admit I don’t know everything. I may be wrong about the nonexistence of the soul and life after death.

But I am extremely doubtful that all these babies consented to their abortions.

Religious beliefs sometimes inspire people to do good and noble things. Other times, they act as excuses to justify atrocities. We’ve seen that with the 9/11 terrorists and with various religious wars throughout history. I would consider this another example.

I read Leviticus 20 to Numbers 3 and Mark 9-12 Today.

In Numbers, I believe I am close to having the encampment of the twelve tribes around the Tent of meeting fully internalized, and I’m closing in on having the camp of the tribe of Levites internalized. Today if you ask me I will be 100% accurate, but maybe not next week.

In Mark 11, the Triumphal Entry of Christ cannot be seen in the context the Jewish authorities would have seen it without the OT. This is five days away from Christ being arrested in the garden of Gethsemane and six deaths from his brutal execution and final atonement for the sins of humanity.

If Christ would have entered the city with just a few people waving palm fronds, he would have been dead before he ever reached the gate, but the popularity of Christ six days away from the crowd cheering his death (even demanding it) was such that they had to endure the “heretical” display.

If you are not intimate with the Old Testament, you will have to rely on some egghead scholar to point this out to you in some clever YouTube video, though if you are in the habit of reading scripture daily and that habit leads you to read through it 3 times a year, after a few years this “scholarly” disembodied “fact” is just a simple common sense conclusion when scripture becomes a whole in your mind.

In this case, the rub is the Feast of the Lord begins on the 15th day of the seventh month of the year. THIS is when you have the Palm frond triumphal celebration. (Leviticus 23).

Why are they celebrating the Feast of the Lord on the day Christ entered Jerusalem? It is a celebration of a wedding they as yet do not fully understand.

The Feast of the Lord is also called the Feast of Booths. If you recall Jonah, after he delivered his message of repentant salvation, he sits bitterly and makes himself a booth. I suspect he is observing the Feast of Booths. Jonah is one person Christ compares himself to, saying like Jonah the only sign he will give them is three days and three nights in the belly of the big fish.

To the Jewish leaders, however, they understand this is a declaration that Christ is King, but they do not understand his Kingship is a spiritual authority that advances through the spirit of being in carrying out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

To the Jewish leaders, this is a vulgar act of heresy they do not act against (yet) lest the mob destroy them (the same mob that will later call for Christ’s execution).

This is just another reminder that only demons tell the children of God to decouple the Old Testament from the New, for anyone who has faithfully meditated on the whole over years would dare think such illogical and unreasonable assumptions, even from a purely textually critical perspective (it is VERY clear the NT writers viewed the OT as essential to their own text, and it is VERY clear that they intended to add layers of understanding to the OT through their divinely “delivered” final testaments).

Read your bible. Steward your OWN beliefs on what is, in actuality, the face, the will, the desire, of God.

GROK:

Your daily reading through Leviticus 20 to Numbers 3 and Mark 9–12 is impressive—it’s clear you’re deeply engaged with the text, letting it shape your understanding holistically rather than in isolated pieces. Internalizing the tribal encampment layout around the Tabernacle (from Numbers 2) and the Levites’ central positioning (Numbers 3) is no small feat; those details paint a vivid picture of ordered worship and God’s presence among His people. It’s rewarding when patterns like that start to stick, even if recall fades over time without review.Your reflections on Mark 11 (the Triumphal Entry) and its deep Old Testament roots resonate strongly. You’re spot on that the event can’t be fully grasped without the OT backdrop—the crowds’ actions weren’t random. Waving palm branches and shouting “Hosanna!” (from Psalm 118, part of the Hallel psalms recited at major feasts) evoked messianic kingship, but the palm branches specifically tie to Leviticus 23:40, where they’re commanded for rejoicing during the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot, or Feast of Booths). That feast, starting on the 15th of the seventh month (Tishri), involved joy, temporary dwellings (booths), and symbols of God’s provision and presence—echoing the wilderness tabernacle experience.

Your reflection demonstrates careful, disciplined engagement with the text, and your core instinct—that the New Testament is unintelligible apart from the Old—is fundamentally sound. The evangelists assume saturation in Israel’s Scriptures; they do not pause to explain what would have been obvious to a first-century Jewish audience. On that point, your argument is well taken.

A few observations may help sharpen and, in one place, correct the framework you are building.

So far, 90,000 people have taken advantage of Canada’s law MAID, (Medical Assistance in Dying) which legalizes assisted suicide. In 2024, there were 16,500 MAID suicides, which accounted for 5% of total deaths that year.

Canada’s average wait time to see a specialist is now at 27.7 weeks, an all-time high, and this fact alone has led to documented suicides, including from a Winnipeg woman who wrote just before her MAID suicide, “I could have had more time if I had more help.”

Blurb:

Canada has euthanized around 90,000 people since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government legalized so-called “Medical Assistance in Dying” (MAID) in 2016, a watchdog has revealed.

The death toll was exposed in shocking new data published by the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition (EPC).

EPC Executive Director Alex Schadenberg revealed the grim total, citing government data and projected 2025 figures.

“There were around 16,500 Canadian euthanasia deaths in 2024, representing 5% of all deaths,” Schadenberg declared.

The Israeli prime minister was speaking to a group of “pro-Israel influencers” in a meeting after his address at the United Nations General Assembly last Friday were an overwhelming majority of national delegations walked out in apparent protest to what is widely considered a genocidal war he and his nation are inflicting against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

A media release from Netanyahu’s office reported the prime minister spoke with this group of “pro-Israel American influencers” about “challenges in the new era, as well as the public diplomacy efforts and the influence of the social networks on the discourse for and against Israel.”

Asked about how to combat dangers to the Zionist cause due to a potential loss of Evangelical support in the United States, which is also impacted by popular Israel-critics Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, Netanyahu directed his listeners to considering social media as “tools for battle” and then emphasized the expected purchase of TikTok to be “most important” in serving Israel’s interests in this regard.

“What we have to do is we have to secure that part of the base of our support in the United States, that is being challenged systematically… How do we fight back? Our influencers, I think you should also talk to them if you have a chance,” the prime minister said. “And secondly, we’re going to have to use the tools of battle. The weapons change over time… we have to fight with the weapons that apply to the battlefields within which we’re engaged. And the most important ones are on social media.”

Trump Admin Says Minnesota Violated Title IX Over Males in Female Sports– legalinsurrection.com

President Donald Trump’s administration is not messing around when it comes to defending Title IX.

The Education Department and Health and Human Services found that Minnesota violated Title IX by allowing males to participate in female sports.

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) did not stop males from competing on female lacrosse, track & field, volleyball, and fastpitch softball teams.

“For too many years, Minnesota’s political leadership has found itself on the wrong side of justice, common sense, and the American people. Now the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota State High School League find themselves on the wrong side of Title IX by allowing males to compete in women’s sports,” stated Education Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Craig Trainor. “The Trump Administration will not allow Minnesota or any other state to sacrifice the safety, fair treatment, and dignity of its female students to appease the false idols of radical gender ideology. Once an education program or entity takes federal funds, Title IX compliance becomes mandatory. And the federal government will hold Minnesota accountable until it recognizes that fact.”

Pope Leo says support for death penalty is ‘not pro-life,’ defends awarding pro-abortion Durbin– www.lifesitenews.com

(LifeSiteNews) — Pope Leo XIV did not rebuke Cardinal Blase Cupich for honoring pro-abortion Senator Dick Durbin with a lifetime achievement award, and said that those who support the death penalty are “not really pro-life.”

On September 30, a journalist from EWTN asked Leo what he thinks about Illinois Sen. Durbin being set to receive an award from Cupich despite his support for abortion.

Leo gave a long-winded answer that appeared to imply he did not have a problem with Durbin receiving the award.

“I think that it is very important to look at the overall work that a senator has done during … 40 years of service in the United States Senate,” he stated. “I understand the difficulty and the tensions but I think, as I myself have spoken to in the past, it is important to look at many issues that are related to what is the teaching of the Church.”

“Someone who says I’m against abortion but says I’m in favor of the death penalty is not really pro-life,” the Pope said. “Someone who says I’m against abortion but I’m in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants in the United States, I don’t know if that’s pro-life.”

“So, they are very complex issues, I don’t know if anyone has all the truth on them, but I would ask first and foremost that there would be greater respect for one another and that we search together both as humans beings, in that case as American citizens or citizens of the state of Illinois, as well as Catholics to say we really need to look closely at all these ethical issues and to find the way forward as Church.”

Massachusetts Blocks Christian Foster Parents Over Gender Ideology– www.standingforfreedom.com

Two Massachusetts families are taking the state to federal court, arguing that their foster care licenses were threatened or revoked because they would not commit to affirming a child’s gender identity in ways that contradict their Christian beliefs.

Attorneys with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) filed the lawsuit against Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) Commissioner Linda Spears and other state officials on behalf of Nick and Audrey Jones and Greg and Marianelly Schrock.

Nick and Audrey Jones, licensed foster parents since 2023, have cared for seven children under the age of six. Their current household includes a 17-month-old girl they’ve cared for since infancy.

According to the filings in Jones v. Mahaniah, state officials recently informed the couple that their license will be revoked solely because of their religious views on gender identity and that their foster daughter could be removed from their care.

Attorneys argue that the state is unlawfully prioritizing ideology over children’s welfare at a time when the foster system faces critical shortages.

Moreover, they cite the statistic that more than 1,400 children are currently waiting for placement in Massachusetts.

From the outset of his current administration, President Trump has made the prevention and improved treatment of autism an all-hands-on-deck priority.

“Effective immediately, the FDA will be notifying physicians that the use of acetaminophen — commonly known as Tylenol — during pregnancy can be associated with a risk of increase of autism,” Trump said. “For this reason, they are strongly recommending that women limit Tylenol use during pregnancy.”

“Taking Tylenol is not good,” said Trump, who emphasized, “I’ll say it. It’s not good.”

Kennedy, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), expanded on the President’s comments.

“To meet the president’s challenge, I ordered HHS to launch an unprecedented, all-agency effort to identify all causes of autism, including toxic and pharmaceutical exposures,” Kennedy said.

“At President Trump’s urging, NIH (the National Institute of Health), FDA (the Food and Drug Administration), the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), and CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) are turning over every stone to identify the (causes) of the autism epidemic and how patients and parents can prevent and reverse this alarming trend,” Kennedy said.

US again vetoes UN Security Council Gaza ceasefire call– www.channelnewsasia.com

UNITED NATIONS: The United States on Thursday (Sep 18) again wielded its veto and thwarted a UN Security Council call for a ceasefire in Gaza, shielding its ally Israel from meaningful diplomatic pressure.

The 14 other members of the Council backed the resolution, initiated in August in response to the UN’s official declaration of famine.

The vote came as Israeli tanks and jets pounded Gaza City, the target of a major new ground offensive, forcing Palestinians to flee south.

The resolution text seen by AFP had demanded “an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza respected by all parties” as well as the immediate and unconditional release of hostages.

The US has repeatedly rejected that approach multiple times, most recently in June when it used its veto to back Israel.

This was the sixth time the US had cast a veto in the Security Council over the nearly two-year war between Israel and Palestinian militants Hamas.

“Let this resolution send a clear message, a message that the Security Council is not turning its back on starving civilians, on the hostages and the demand for a ceasefire,” Denmark’s UN ambassador Christina Lassen said ahead of the vote.

“A generation risks being lost not only to war – but to hunger and despair. Meanwhile, Israel has expanded its military operation in Gaza City, further deepening the suffering of civilians as a result.

“It is this catastrophic situation, this humanitarian and human failure that has compelled us to act today.”
