Half of registered voters agreed that people celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination should be fired, according to a new poll.

ABC briefly suspended late-night host Jimmy Kimmel for the last week over comments he made about Kirk’s assassination. Kimmel was reinstated by the company on Monday.

Kimmel’s temporary suspension, as well as several other firings in universities and sports organizations across the country, has raised concerns about freedom of speech and censorship.

Before ABC announced the suspension, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr criticized Kimmel’s comments on Kirk’s assassination.

The poll, conducted by RMG Research and the Napolitan News Service on 1,000 registered voters, found 51% of respondents said it is appropriate for private companies to fire people who celebrate an assassination like Charlie Kirk’s online.

The poll showed steep partisan divides as 80% of Republican respondents and 27% of Democrat respondents agreed that it is appropriate for private companies to fire people who celebrate an assassination like Kirk’s.

“Sadly, the poll shows that early reactions have been just as partisan as everything else in the political world,” said Scott Rasmussen, founder of the Napolitan Institute.

The FBI had to step in to protect reporters in California over the weekend after the state released an accused gunman who allegedly targeted a news station.

That’s right. While a Sacramento court let him post bail, federal agents arrested him again before he could strike twice.

Police said 64-year-old Anibal Hernandez Santana was arrested Friday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied building, and negligent discharge of a firearm.

He allegedly opened fire at the city’s ABC affiliate KXTV, presumably furious over Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension after the late night host misled his viewers about the assassination of Charlie Kirk last week.

Three bullet holes were found in the glass.

Someone was inside the lobby when the shots were fired, and thank God, no one was harmed.

Jail records showed bail for Santana was set at $200,000. He paid it on Saturday and was released.

Will any of the local media thank Trump for protecting them from the alleged shooter?

The alleged shooter wasn’t free for long.

Hours later, the FBI arrested him again.

KCRA reported he was taken into custody on suspicion of violating 47 USC 333, which bans interference with licensed radio communications.

Jail records show Santana is on a federal hold and ineligible for bail.

A conviction for breaking the law carries up to one year in prison or a $10,000 fine for a first offense.

It is without a doubt a criminal charge most people have never heard of, but what is the federal government to do in order to protect public safety when Democrats decline to act?

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office responded by calling Santana’s alleged actions an assault on “our democracy itself,” while his system had just freed the accused shooter.

Santana’s attorney, Mark Reichel, said the charge was “minor” and complained that investigators focused on social media posts from his client that were critical of President Donald Trump.

Leftists can’t contain their anger. They’ve proven that truth time and again with an alarming frequency since last summer.

But the real story here is that California freed a man accused of firing into a newsroom over an apparent belief that Jimmy Kimmel is entitled to lie on broadcast television.

Once Kimmel’s employer decided to put him on ice, the response was violence toward people in an industry that is almost entirely left-wing.

California’s judicial system responded to the threat of death for reporters by releasing the alleged shooter.

Trump’s FBI put him back behind bars.

That’s the irony. The same left-wing media that despises Trump is safer today because of his administration.

The man arrested for allegedly firing gunshots at the ABC station in Sacramento is expected to appear in federal court Monday.

Police say a 64-year-old man was arrested at his Sacramento home early Saturday morning.

He was released after posting bail. However, hours later, he was arrested by the FBI for allegedly violating a federal statute which has to do with interference to radio communications of stations, which are federally licensed.

The suspect’s neighbors were surprised by the arrest.

“He was a nice guy. But then after hearing all this, we were we’re just like, ‘What? What happened?'” said neighbor Emily Alves.

At least three bullets hit the lobby window of the news station Friday afternoon. People were inside the building, but nobody was hurt.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) showed that the president’s censorship campaign will not silence her.

CNN’s Dana Bash asked Rep. Crockett, “Do you have a responsibility as an elected official not to raise the temperature, but rather lower the temperature, particularly when there are people out there who listen to elected officials all over the place who are not well who use that as a way to instigate the political violence that you are calling out?”

The Texas Democrat replied:

I think that my responsibility is to be transparent and to be honest.

And the reality is that we are living in a time in which this administration and this regime is not interested in making sure that people understand history. We need to understand why they are so problematic. And so I am using that language because it is accurate language when we see the consolidation of power, when we see them trying to chill speech of jokesters, when we’re seeing all of this.

That is a playbook out of Hitler. And I won’t deny it. Like, these are the facts. But one of the things that I have never done that the president has done consistently is called specifically for violence. He has said, oh, beat that one up. He has said those types of things.

A massive memorial was held for Charlie Kirk, a young conservative leader slain by an assassin’s bullet on September 10. The Glendale, Arizona State Farm Stadium was fully packed with supporters, friends, family, and colleagues.

The ceremony began with evangelical worship songs, filling the stadium with prayer and communion, bringing people together in faith. Kirk was just 31 years old when he was shot and killed while hosting an open debate with students at Utah Valley University.

Many people who worked with Kirk spoke of his legacy, sharing personal memories and moments they had spent with him over his short life. Those in attendance flew in from across the country.

The White House sent two planes full of staffers and administration officials to the memorial. Members of the Cabinet were in attendance, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and many others.

Tucker Carlson delivered a Christ-centered speech at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service in Arizona on Sunday, receiving thunderous applause after encouraging the crowd to listen to the assassinated Turning Point USA founder’s message of faith.

The conservative commentator took to the stage at State Farm Stadium in Glendale in front of tens of thousands of people to shift their focus to Kirk’s “Christian Evangelist” beliefs:

“This is the most unbelievable thing I think I’ve ever seen,” Carlson began, referring to the enormous, lively audience. “Whatever happens next in America — I hope it’s in this direction, because God is here, and you can feel it. And Charlie would have loved this, not just because he loved large groups of people, but because ultimately, he was a Christian evangelist.”

Carlson then brought up how people conspired against Jesus in the Bible:

It actually reminds me of my favorite story ever. So it’s about 2000 years ago in Jerusalem, and Jesus shows up, and he starts talking about the people in power and he starts doing the worst thing that you can do, which is telling the truth about people — and they hate it, and they just go bonkers. They hate it, and they become obsessed with making him stop. ‘This guy’s got to stop talking. We’ve got to shut this guy up.’ And I can just sort of picture the scene in a lamp-lit room with a bunch of guys sitting around eating hummus, thinking about, ‘What do we do about this guy telling the truth about us? We must make him stop talking.’ And there’s always one guy with the bright idea, and I can just hear him say, ‘I’ve got an idea. Why don’t we just kill him? That’ll shut him up, that’ll fix the problem.’

It doesn’t work that way. It doesn’t work that way. Everything is inverted, and the Beatitudes tell it, I think, the most crisply, that everything is sort of the opposite of what you think it’s going to be.

During her remarks, Erika also urged those in attendance to follow her husband’s example as a wife and a husband.

“Please be a leader worth following,” she told the thousands of attendees. “Your wife is not your servant. Your wife is not your employee. Your wife is not your slave. She is your helper. You are not rivals. You are one flesh, working together for the glory of God.”

Charlie, a conservative activist and the founder of right-wing organization Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was 31.

“Charlie loved life. He loved his life, he loved America, he loved nature which always helped him closer to God,” Erika said during an X livestream two days later, breaking her silence on her husband’s passing. “He loved the Chicago Cubs and my goodness did he love the Oregon Ducks.”

In addition to Erika, Charlie is survived by the couple’s two kids.

“Most of all Charlie loved his children and he loved me with all of his heart and I knew that everyday. He made sure I knew that everyday,” Erika added in her September 12 statement. “Everyday he would ask me, ‘How can I serve you better? How can I be a better husband? This is America, where freedom of speech is central to the foundation of our republic. You would think that means the public school system fosters a culture where diversity of thought is respected and encouraged—but that’s not always the case, especially at Laguna Beach High School.

On Sept. 11, a student wore a MAGA hat to school in honor of Charlie Kirk, less than 24 hours after his death. Wearing that hat is his God-given right. But because the school has failed to instill the importance of that right, another student decided to throw the hat on the floor.

The first student had the perfect response: ‘If you hate this country, move to Canada—they’ve got open borders anyway.’

Rumors quickly spread, with some accusing him of being xenophobic and falsely claiming he told the other student to ‘go back where you came from’—which he never did. And the worst part? The school chose to suspend him, treating the victim as if he were the aggressor.

Can you believe that happened at a public school in America? I can—because nowadays, so-called ‘educators’ not only fail to teach students the importance of political discourse, they actively disdain it. And there’s no better evidence for that than this story.

I don’t have to tell you why freedom of speech and upholding our constitutional rights are more important now than ever, but the school should—and must—do better. His mother believes the school acted against him because of his political beliefs, and I couldn’t agree more. Yet just because this outcome was expected doesn’t make it any less troubling. These are supposed to be places where political discussions happen the most, yet students are not apprehensive about expressing their opinions for fear of retaliation. That is something that should never be tolerated in this great nation.

Rep. Bennie Thompson sees AOC’s charge and raises it: “The fact is,” he said in an official statement, “Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric was divisive, disparaging, and too often rooted in grievance. The beliefs he evangelized normalized fringe views on race, sex, and immigration. Unfortunately, his rhetoric resurrected dangerous prejudices of a dark past.”

Gosh. Here’s a question, Congressman. What sort of grievance would someone have to entertain in order to be moved to describe someone who simply sought to engage young people in conversation as “divisive” and “disparaging?” Follow-up question: Did Charlie Kirk try to “normalize” fringe ideas about “race, sex, and immigration?” Or were the ideas he espoused, in fact (you see that two people can deploy the “in fact™” gambit), perfectly normal ideas that reflected the beliefs of millions of Americans, even if those ideas departed from the Washington consensus?

As for the Civil Rights Act, Charlie Kirk did say its expansion was “a huge mistake.” Here’s the context. A student asked Charlie whether he wanted to get rid of the Civil Rights Act. He replied that he thought we should have a one-page bill that outlawed racial discrimination and left it at that. Most Americans, he went on to note, don’t support forcing women’s sports teams to allow men pretending to be women to compete. But the Civil Rights Act has been interpreted to say just that.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt denied that the administration had any role in ABC’s indefinite shelving of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” following the host’s monologue on the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. She also criticized former President Barack Obama for alleging that the Donald Trump administration “threatens” news organisations critical of the US president.“I can assure you it did not come from the White House and there was no pressure given from the president of the United States. How do I know that? Because I was with the president when this news broke in the United Kingdom,” Leavitt told Fox News Digital. She added that Trump was “unaware” of the decision, which she said was made solely by ABC because Kimmel, a vocal Trump critic, “chose to knowingly lie to his audience” about Kirk’s death during a period of national mourning. Leavitt also echoed Trump’s remarks that the show was taken off air due to poor ratings, which she described as “gutter”.Turning to Obama, Leavitt said, “With all due respect, he has no idea what he is talking about. The decision to fire Jimmy Kimmel and to cancel his show came from executives at ABC. That has now been reported.” Obama had criticised the current administration on X, writing that it “has taken cancel culture to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.”Kirk, a Trump ally, was shot and killed on September 10 at a university campus in Utah. Kimmel addressed the assassination five days later, criticising Trump supporters for “characterising that the killer (Tyler Robinson) is not one of their own.”Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chair Brendan Carr, appointed by Trump earlier this year, had warned of “consequences” for stations that continued to air Kimmel’s programme. ABC’s decision to shelve the show has sparked widespread discussion and controversy.

The conservative movement has spent the days following the shocking murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk attacking a bedrock American value: free speech.

In the most high-profile incident, the Federal Communications Commission pressured ABC parent The Walt Disney Company to sideline talk show host Jimmy Kimmel after he made a joke mocking President Donald Trump’s response to Kirk’s death. This followed CBS canceling “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” shortly after the network paid a $16 million settlement to President Donald Trump over how “60 Minutes” edited an interview with Kamala Harris.

Vice President JD Vance and senior White House aide Stephen Miller have argued that a crackdown on left-of-center groups is necessary to stop people from telling the truth about what a bigot and conspiracy theorist Kirk was.

And Fox News, the Republican Party’s de facto media arm, has joined the anti-First Amendment crusade as well.

“For all the concern about the ‘the First Amendment, the First Amendment,’ what about all the amendments that Charlie Kirk lost? Because Charlie Kirk has no amendments right now. None,” said Fox pundit and former Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, exhibiting her lack of knowledge of the U.S. Constitution that has served her so well for years.

Panel after panel Wednesday night on CNN pretended to have a debate over “free speech,” with every anchor and Democrat talking head asking whichever present right-winger or Republican guest why the principle didn’t apply to ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel. Yeah, going forward, they can miss me with the “free speech” and other appeals to American principles that I and everyone else know they only fake concern for when their money and power are threatened.

ABC announced Wednesday evening it was yanking Kimmel’s late-night talk therapy sessions — known by some as Jimmy Kimmel Live! — for an indefinite period from the airwaves. That move came after Kimmel delivered what he intended to be a comedic monologue centered on the public execution of Charlie Kirk, an innocent man, less than a week prior. It also came after, as Democrats on CNN hysterically repeated over and over, the Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr said on a podcast in relation to that monologue that TV stations relying on broadcast licenses should recommit themselves to the public interest, as required by existing law, or otherwise potentially face government action.

Because Carr, a Trump appointee, suggested his agencies might do their job and ensure compliance with public broadcasting rules, Democrats are calling the Kimmel suspension a violation of the First Amendment. There’s no reason to take them seriously for it. That party has done nothing in the past five years to hint it cares about the Bill of Rights or any other American ideal. They don’t. It’s the opposite.

An NBC news report said the military planned to invoke the activist’s memory to recruit a ‘generation of warriors’.

US network NBC first reported the news on Thursday, citing two officials familiar with the matter, but a Pentagon spokesperson quickly dispelled the report to Fox News.

NBC said the Pentagon was debating slogans such as “Charlie has awakened a generation of warriors” as part of its campaign drive, although Kirk himself was not a military veteran.

The military also hoped to work with Kirk’s political organisation, Turning Point USA, as part of its recruitment drive, the story said.

Turning Point was credited with helping US President Donald Trump win at the polls in 2024 through its work with young voters on high school and university campuses.

“This is not happening,” Pentagon Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson told Fox News later on Thursday.

Wilson blasted NBC for using anonymous sources to publish “false claims” that were “100 percent wrong”, according to the Fox News report.

The two unnamed Pentagon officials in the NBC report said the recruitment plan had been met with resistance from “some Pentagon leaders” who feared they would be seen as capitalising on Kirk’s murder.

Amid the catastrophic loss of Charlie Kirk, people across the nation are turning to God for answers in unprecedented numbers. One of the key questions now, is if this apparent revival for the Lord was foretold by the late prophet Kim Clement.

On Mar. 2, 2013, Clement prophesied: “The soul of this nation has been wounded. Not from outside, but from inside. Self-infliction upon the soul.”

“I stand not in the presence of good only, but I stand in the presence of evil…The Angel of the Lord has been commanded by the right of the people who are praying. He has been summoned by the people, and he is resting his feet upon nations, while the battle rages, setting a flame to those who are ready,” Clement continues.

Clement’s prophetic word further echoed that this flame of revival would spread out to the world, particularly throughout Asia as well, transforming the lives of the youth while religious leaders will scour at the work of the Holy Spirit.

“Asia, you and your young ones in North Korea, in South Korea, in India, China, Hong Kong, in all the regions of the Far East to the Middle East will link up with young people in America. This revolution shall spread, and the sounds will be so unique that it is undeniable. And church leaders will stand up and condemn it as they’

The tragic loss of Charlie Kirk appears to have sparked a nationwide turning toward God, igniting a revival that aligns with Kim Clement’s prophetic words. As people seek answers and lean into prayer, a spiritual movement is emerging, particularly among the youth, that crosses borders and challenges traditional religious structures.

What is unfolding is more than mourning—it is a moment of awakening, a Jesus-centered revolution quietly spreading both in America and abroad, signaling that God’s hand is at work even in times of national sorrow.

The calls to turn down the political rhetoric were nice while they lasted. On Monday’s The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, the eponymous host warned that President Trump and the administration writ large intend to use the assassination of Charlie Kirk to, among other things, “stay in power indefinitely.”

Referencing a New York Times article, Maddow lamented, “Another headline today, quote, ‘White House plans broad crackdown on liberal groups.’ They’re saying now they will use the horrific murder of pro-Trump activist Charlie Kirk last week as a justification for some undefined whole-of-government attack on what they always describe very vaguely as ‘the left,’ in this country.”

In that article, buried all the way down in paragraphs 18 and 19, was this nugget from Vice President JD Vance as he guest-hosted The Charlie Kirk Show:

‘We can thank God that most Democrats don’t share these attitudes, and I do, while acknowledging that something has gone very wrong with a lunatic fringe, a minority, but a growing and powerful minority on the far left,’ he said.

Mr. Vance said the administration would not go after ‘constitutionally protected speech’ but rather what he described as a network of nonprofit nongovernmental organizations that ‘foments, facilitates and engages in violence.’

The man accused of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk confessed to killing the right-wing activist in a message to his roommate, prosecutors have alleged, as they announced seven charges against him.

Tyler Robinson, 22, left a note under a keyboard for his roommate to discover, said Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Gray. He added that the roommate was Mr Robinson’s romantic partner.

According to Mr Gray, the note said: “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I’m going to take it.”

The prosecutor also shared text messages between the roommates, including one in which the defendant allegedly said he shot Kirk because he had “had enough of his hatred”.

The suspect is being held without bail in a special housing unit at the Utah County Jail. He made his first court appearance on Tuesday, appearing remotely as prosecutors read the seven charges against him.

The charges are aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, two counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and committing a violent crime when children are present.
