Election 2028

Anthropic has launched a “presidential engagement” project in preparation for the 2028 Presidential election. They plan on engaging with major U.S. presidential candidates on AI policy to determine their political strategy. From this, their political funding strategy would follow. It’s a transparent “buy influence” program being advertised in advance ahead of the 2028 elections.

Anthropic is setting up a “presidential engagement” program ahead of the 2028 elections, building an in-house team that will work directly with U.S. presidential candidates from both parties on AI issues, help Anthropic’s leadership set political strategy, and run the company’s political funding program.

The effort—which is taking shape before the November midterm elections and an impending initial public offering that could value Anthropic at as much as $2 trillion—underscores the extent to which government policy, and the support of the White House in particular, have become critical to the AI industry.

Anthropic is hiring a Political Programs lead to spearhead the effort and build the team. The person will “build and run Anthropic’s presidential engagement program for the 2028 cycle,” according to the job description that the company posted recently. The person in the role will “map the prospective fields in both parties, offer AI policy education to candidates and their advisors on equal terms, prepare Anthropic’s executives for those conversations, and plan ahead for the platform, convention, and transition periods.”

“Decisions made over the next two years will shape the future enormously,” reads the job description. “We want every serious candidate and elected official, in both parties, to understand the technology and the case for governing it well.”

This is the pure stuff, an undiluted dose of raw California. A “request for information” (RFI) from the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) invites private organizations to apply for a role administering the state’s transgender equity programs. The winning bidder will distribute funds from three separate pools of money:

The section of the RFI describing the background of these grant programs explains that federal policy has caused a crisis in “access to gender affirming care, in particular for children and youth.” Children can’t get their genitals mutilated, so the state must act.

Respondents are required to have administrative experience in the field of youth genital mutilation, being required to submit an application that describes “your organization’s experience providing culturally competent services to transgender, gender-diverse, and intersex (TGI) communities, including gender affirming care,” which has to include particular experience with “communities of color” and people who speak limited English.

Every theme comes together: government spending outsourced to non-profit corporations, transgender kids, taxpayer-funded abortions for the gender diverse, public services for people who just showed up and need a translator to get their free government money. If you’re wondering how California is governed, it’s governed like this.

Nolte: California Voters Not Excited About Kamala or Newsom Running for President– www.breitbart.com

The very people who have lived and are living under the incompetent governance of Gov. Gavin Newsom and California’s former attorney-general, Kamala Harris, are not excited about living under either as president of these here United States.

“California voters are souring on the idea of Gavin Newsom or Kamala Harris running for president in 2028,” reports the far-left Politico. “The share of California registered voters excited about a Newsom presidential run fell 11 points, from 48% in March to 37% in September. For Harris, excitement fell 13 points, from 41% to 28%.”

Naturally, the numbers jump a little among Democrats. “Democrats and Democratic-leaning registered voters — 61% — said they would be excited for a Newsom presidential bid, according to the survey, while 39% would not be. Democrats were less keen on Harris, with a 55% majority saying they would not be excited for her to run.”

Politico frames this as good news for Newsom with this headline — “California Democrats see Newsom as stronger 2028 contender than Harris” — but the difference among Democrats, the only group that matters in a presidential primary, is six measly points. There is plenty of excitement for both.

Nevertheless, the real headline here is that people who know Newsom and Kamala best do not want to see them in charge of the entire country.
