INGERSOLL: Three Angry, Old Women Failed To Convince The Lone Juror– dailycaller.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
Below is State of the Day, a morning newsletter by Daily Caller Editor-at-Large Geoff Ingersoll. Sign up here.
__________
Greetings, Dear Reader,
I might have mentioned this in previous State of the Days, but my favorite bit of Ingersoll genealogy is that I’m related to the guy who hosted the first ever witch trials … in a bar.
Lieutenant Nathaniel Ingersoll was a prominent local business owner, militia member, and church leader. Of the 20 women he either accused or testified against, eight were hanged.
By the way, did you see …
THE THREE CRONES
There’s The Fates, The Grey Sisters, The Norns, and most popularly due to Shakespeare, The Weird Sisters, and then there’s the three batty crones who appeared on local television last night to complain incessantly about the one juror who refused to acquit Lindsay Clancy.
The three, who (ironically?) appeared on NBC and CBS Boston, made no attempt to mask their disgust of the prosecution and the lone male juror who refused to acquiesce to their appeals.
They accused the prosecution of lacking “compassion.” They said there was no “smoking gun” to prove Clancy’s guilt. They called the holdout juror “very arrogant” for not listening to the “nurses” in the room.
Yes, there were nurses in the room. Not that I want to digress, but some people are calling their reliance on external “expertise” cause for a mistrial. And to not digress further: About one third of nurses have some form of mental illness themselves!
Moving on … in the most disturbing clip of all, which simply must be watched, the three of them utterly lambast the holdout.
Here’s a transcript, emphasis mine (I’m withholding juror names, if you want to find them, it’s not difficult):
Juror 1:
He had reasonable doubt. He admitted he had reasonable doubt after we watched that video of the interview. I think that’s when it was. He admitted he had reasonable doubt, and I started filling out the forms. I was so excited. There were three forms I had to fill out, and I started filling them out. I wrote my signature on each one, and then he said, “But I’m still not going to say that she’s not guilty by reason of insanity.”
Juror 2:
He was very arrogant. He really did not take anything that anybody said. He tried to ask a question about the medications, and we went back to the report from South Shore Hospital. We had the toxicology report. We could see exactly the amounts. The nurses in the room spoke to that. That was a question that he had. And he just completely disregarded the information that they gave him.
Juror 3:
I’m not sure if “rogue” is the right word. But every one of us, in the hours of our frustration, would get up and walk the room, because you just couldn’t sit anymore, and would all go to the cart with the exhibits. He, I think, got up to the cart once, very briefly, and went back to his seat. He would not interact with us and try to understand.
We read to him on numerous occasions the definition of reasonable doubt from Judge Sullivan’s instruction. He actually said one day in the end, “Well, why don’t we have the judge come in and read it again?” And we were like, “No. We have it in front of us. We don’t need that.” And we would highlight it — this is the definition of reasonable doubt. But he had the hardest time getting off the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children.
I genuinely had to do a double take when I read that last portion. He couldn’t get past “the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children.”
Well no kidding, huh?
(Also, I’m not sure what exactly the third one is on, but her speech was slurred enough to call for a roadside test.)
We’ve also got the rapidly infamous “no smoking gun” assertion from a fourth juror who (wisely) chose to stay anonymous.
But she also recounted how she’d essentially been bullied into an acquittal despite her initial intuition.
Transcript:
Juror:
A majority of the people — it doesn’t matter what side it was on — was very firm in their stance and their beliefs kind of from the beginning. This standalone juror was not the only one that was unwilling to see things from the other side. So I’m going to kind of defend that individual in a sense. There were some big personalities in that room. But at the end of the day, it just came down to an inability to move past your convictions. And even after that dynamite charge, to be unable to self-analyze yourself and be like, ‘Okay, am I missing something? Am I failing to acknowledge or give this doubt the weight that it needs?’ That majority of the room was trying to sway that person from the very beginning.
Reporter:
So where did you come down from the very beginning? What was your vote?
Juror:
Originally I felt as though she was guilty and she was criminally responsible for it. And maybe I still believe that in a certain way. I think that this was a woman who was not mentally healthy. She was someone that was in the throes of a significant mental health crisis. I really just felt like she was so deep in it that she couldn’t see her way out. And this was the only option.
Truly wild.
… what an evolution of the term. From “ugly, withered or unpleasant” to “wise and respected post-menopausal woman.”

Oil hits $100 for first time since July as chaos continues in Strait of Hormuz– www.independent.co.uk
News Source
EXCERPT:
The price of oil crossed the $100 a barrel mark for the first time since July as continued chaos in the Middle East spooked the market.
As the market opened on Wednesday, the price for Brent Crude – the benchmark for oil across the world – hit $100.19 at around 8.15am. It later dropped slightly to $99 shortly after.
The Middle East conflict escalated this week after Iranian-backed Houthi forces in Yemen launched strikes on several Saudi cities, drawing a key US ally further into the war.
Meanwhile, the US military has said it’s destroyed five Iranian tankers carrying crude following attempts to strike a US Navy warship with ballistic missiles.
Iran claimed to have attacked two American vessels and eight oil tankers in the Gulf. Shipping crews near Kuwaiti and Bahraini ports were warned to abandon their vesels.
The latest attacks threaten to deepen disruptions to Middle East oil supplies, already strained by strikes on regional energy infrastructure and key shipping lanes.
Brent crude prices were last this high in late July.
This is a breaking news story. More to follow.
OMISSION: Networks SILENT on Canada-China Military Talks– www.newsbusters.org
News Source
EXCERPT:
The Elitist Media evening news continue their mission on trade, acting as spokespeople for the Canadian prime minister instead of reporting the full scope of US-Canada relations that led to the breakdown at the negotiating table. Over the weekend and through today, an alarming omission emerges.
It appears that the media insist on glossing over the influence that China may have over Canada. In this case, we are only finding out about a high-level security meeting because China disclosed it. Per the Toronto Star:
As the Carney government pursues deeper relations with Beijing, the Chinese government reports it held a “candid” exchange on military issues with Canadian officials earlier this month.
The meeting – which Beijing said took place in Canada on Sept. 4 – followed years of diplomatic strain and is raising concerns among Conservatives, who reject the idea of military co-operation with China.
China’s defence ministry revealed the two countries held their fifth defence co-ordination dialogue last week. Canada’s Defence Department confirmed that report days later.
It’s worth noting that the countries’ military meetings were suspended in 2018 after the Trudeau administration arrested Huawei’s CEO. Their resumption at this particular juncture seems highly questionable.
Even more questionable is the Elitist Media’s refusal to so much as mention China- whether it’s the military meeting or Canada’s insistence on laundering dumped Chinese steel as their own, which sunk the trade negotiations to begin with.
ABC World News Tonight addressed Canada only within the context of the retaliatory tariffs imposed by Canada. Rachel Scott being Rachel Scott, she made sure to close by quoting Prime Minister Mark Carney.

RACHEL SCOTT: Tonight, Americans are also feeling the impact of President Trump’s trade war with Canada. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney imposing tariffs on $20 billion worth of American goods after President Trump imposed steep tariffs on Canadian goods, Carney saying tonight “we relied too much on one economic partner and it’s clear that time is over.” David.
DAVID MUIR: Rachel Scott on the breaking developments tonight. Rachel, thank you.
What’s remarkable about ABC’s Canada reporting, tacked on at the end of their White House roundup, is that there isn’t even a mention of President Trump’s proposed ban against Bombardier aircraft- let alone China. The reporting was narrowly focused on the Canadian point of view, as is normally the case on the most Trump-deranged of the Elite Media broadcast networks.
CBS’s Canada reporting on the Evening News was slightly better. There was at least a mention of Bombardier, but still no mention of China.
WATCH: @CBSEveningNews‘ Canada roundup at least mentions Bombardier. No China, though

TONY DOKOUPIL: Canadian tariffs took effect today and about $20 billion of U.S. goods, the latest escalation in a trade war with no clear end. Here’s our Chief White House Correspondent, Nancy Cordes.
NANCY CORDES: Canada made good on its threat today, imposing hefty new tariffs on U.S. dairy, steel, aluminum and appliances after trade talks broke down last month.
MARK CARNEY: We can’t let American goods into Canada tariff free, while they charge our companies to export them.
CORDES: The tariffs apply to just a slice of U.S. goods. But the risk is a spiral of retaliation, reminiscent of president trump’s trade war with China last year.
DONALD TRUMP: Canada has taken advantage of the U.S., they have ripped us off for years and now we are turning the tables.
CORDES: At Detroit Axle in Michigan, the CEO says the cross-border tit-for-tat is already driving up his costs.
MIKE MUSEINESH: I’ve imported a million dollars worth of product, once upon a time we paid the government $25,000 in tariffs. Now it went up to $725,000 in tariffs. Overnight.
CORDES: Canada is America’s second-largest trading partner and their economies are closely intertwined. On Sunday, Trump posted a cartoon image of himself checking Canada’s prime minister with a hockey stick. And he threatened to ban the sale of Canadian Bombardier business jets. Bombardier pointed out that the company works with 2800 U.S. suppliers and makes its wings in Texas, flight control components in California. It buys engines from Arizona and communications equipment from Iowa.
A Kansas Republican, Senator Jerry Moran, even reached out to The White House to make sure that Trump knows Bombardier supports more than 1000 jobs in Wichita. It’s yet another sign, Tony, that Trump’s party may not share his appetite for another trade war, especially in an election year.
DOKOUPIL: That is true, Nancy. Thank you very much.
NBC didn’t even bother with a report. Meanwhile, the public continues to get less than half the story of the ongoing trade dispute between the United States and Canada.
The Elitist Media are making sure that this continues to be the case, even if it means suppressing Canada’s military rapprochement with America’s main geostrategic rival.

Watch: Lindsay Clancy Jurors Accidentally Admit They Made Their Decision Based on the Wrong Criteria– www.westernjournal.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
After Friday’s mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy case, three jurors have come forward revealing how they saw the outcome — and their perspective is just as bad as you would imagine.
Clancy was on trial for the deaths of her three children in January 2023. Her defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, argued she should not be held criminally responsible due to postpartum depression and psychosis. A mistrial was declared after one juror held out against the rest, refusing to retreat from the charges against her.
Now, we’re hearing from three women who saw it differently and gave an interview to WBTS — Paula Devlin, Roni Carlson, and Kellie Farina.
Their comments showed they were completely clueless and favored Clancy for reasons that had nothing to do with the law.
WBTS posted the interview to YouTube on Tuesday. Farina called the prosecution’s opening statement “harsh,” and said she did not like that they did not present character witnesses for Clancy. “You’re presenting all these medical professionals, but nobody’s presenting for the prosecution, a woman, a mother of three children.”
“I found it to be biased right out of the gate.”
Should Lindsay Clancy have been convicted of murder?
Yes: 98% (59 Votes)
No: 2% (1 Votes)
Why would the prosecution need to talk about her character?
Reddington admitted she killed three children. Would talking about her role as a mother before killing three children completely excuse that completely evil act?
What does “bias” have to do with anything? They are the prosecution. They are trying to prove she murdered her children.
“There is no compassion in this courtroom right now,” Farina recalled, apparently forgetting that compassion was not shown to the children Clancy killed.
When Devlin was asked if the prosecution said anything she considered in her decision, she gave a blunt “no.”
On the other side, all three women could not stop swooning over Reddington. It was not because of the legality of his defense. They just seemed to like him.
Female Clancy jurors gush over defense attorney Kevin Reddington as “funny” and “entertaining.”
“His compassion towards Lindsay was amazing.”
The prosecution had roughly zero chance with these women. pic.twitter.com/XRSnv5wvDS
— Western Lensman (@WesternLensman) September 8, 2026
Carlson recalled laughing at Reddington, saying his demeanor was “funny,” adding that “he was entertaining, which was good because we needed some of that.”
Devlin noted he was both “arrogant and entertaining,” before Farina added “but compassionate,” to which Devlin agreed.
“His compassion toward Lindsay was amazing,” she added.
Again, none of this should have anything to do with a murder trial and the facts presented.
It is clear these women went off of their emotions and were ready to let a child killer go free.
All three of them should be embarrassed to admit these things.
It is further proof that the one holdout juror was possibly the only sane voice during deliberations.

Even if we must be politically correct to those committing crimes, which we certainly should not be, why can’t the left make an exception for shooters who disregard human life? Because, in whatever pursuit that is, Interim Seattle Police Chief Andre Sayles has renamed shooters “trigger pullers” because of BLM or whatever.
This is objectively stupid and even more proof that the left prioritizes the feelings of criminals, including the ones who disregard the value of human life, over public safety. There should be more outrage over this.
According to Fox 13:
A violent 24-hour stretch in Seattle left three people dead and three others injured following three separate shooting incidents in and around the Belltown neighborhood.
Addressing potential staffing strains, Sayles said, “That’s something I have to look at. I haven’t really dove into what the staffing numbers looked like and if that was the case, then we will do what we need to do as a department to make sure that they are not overwhelmed.”
What a foolish response. It is his job to know the staffing numbers. He cannot even be bothered to do the bare minimum. What a disgrace this man is.
“We have officers in these dedicated areas. They’re a block or two away, and it’s one of those incidents where we respond to violence on a daily basis,” Sayles said. “It’s not like we can be there and stop it. But our goal is to be there and stop it.”
Maybe one day people like Sayles will fight for public safety the way he does for the feelings of evil losers, but until then, this is the best he can do. To call this a slap in the face to law-abiding Americans does not even begin to describe this absurdity.

Ending Discrimination Against Stay-At-Home Moms Is Not ‘Welfare’– thefederalist.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
Family and children are and have always been the cornerstone of conservatism. The moment the New York Times publicized the Trump team’s plan to make stay at home mothers eligible for childcare payments, however, another GOP feud was born.
The lines were immediately clear. The same folks that find any excuse to complain about Vice President J.D. Vance as the face of the “woke right” are taking aim at a proposal that would make certain single income households helmed by married parents eligible for childcare subsidies typically handed to daycares.
The current eligibility structure of the 30-year-old Child Care and Development Fund program is flawed and, like most welfare programs, susceptible to exploitation by fraudsters and moochers. The $12 billion in taxes the daycare program spends on subsidizing unmarried working mothers incentivizes out of wedlock births and outsourcing parenting duties, both inherently anti-conservative behaviors.
The existing tax code heavily subsidizes single motherhood to the point that single moms who get married lose state support. In other words current law disincentives a social good (marriage) among welfare recipients. Oh no a socialism we should have been fixing for decades. https://t.co/HKHtC7MCVK
— Rachel Bovard (@rachelbovard) September 6, 2026
Under the Trump administration’s proposal, “parent-based child care” in a home supported by a spouse who “works at least 35 hours per week” and meets the same income qualifications as current recipients would be recognized as a legitimate cause worthy of tax dollars.
The proposed reform, which can’t be implemented without a comment period and until at least next year, does not expand the CCDF or demand more taxation. It simply redirects already-allocated funds, which Trump’s HHS tried to scale back, to better align government spending with the Trump administration’s pro-family goals and not discriminate against families with married parents on a single income.
A small sliver of stay-at-home parents would actually qualify for the payout, but the knee-jerk reaction from the think tank right was to vilify those who want to raise their own babies as “welfare queens” and “socialist.” They claim they shouldn’t have their hard-earned money “stolen” and handed to women who don’t “organize their lives so that they can work from home or provide for their families in a flexible manner.”
The debate quickly shifted from those spending complaints to claims that moms and dads both having to work is actually a good thing and it’s okay that tax dollars are currently used to subsidize that corporate framework.
And there it is. Establishment GOP is telling us that moms prioritizing children and homemaking is no longer a possibility and you just need to accept that mothers are going to have to be in the workforce from here on out. So as I said, this is chamber-of-commerce,… https://t.co/hGt5oc9QOj
— Megan Basham (@megbasham) September 8, 2026
In an ideal world, the government axes the welfare program altogether and instead offers families with a stay-at-home mother a $9000 tax break. But that’s not on the table. The chances that Republicans will further risk re-election to go after the “social safety net” are low and contra to history. As I type, our GOP-controlled Congress sits in recess. This scheduled break comes just a few months before the midterms and after two years of legislators largely failing to move the needle in favor of the conservative voters who elected them.
Pretending that Trump can put the CCDF on the chopping block tomorrow is a false dilemma that completely ignores the willingness and “power of the purse.” The people arguing such are not simply being intellectually dishonest, they are further proving why conservatives have so much ground to make up in the first place.
The welfare state is a scourge, but it’s not going away anytime soon. Which is exactly why we have to harness it or risk losing it yet another very important cultural battlefield to the left. In the wild world of welfare, financially compensating married stay-at-home moms is the lesser of tax-funded evils. In fact, despite what the nasties online suggest, it’s not an evil at all.
Data shows that while “one-earner families (whether the breadwinner is male or female) have fallen economically behind,” having a stay-at-home mom is good for the development and well-being of both younger and older kids and boosts America’s already-tumbling birth rate.
“The only American families reproducing well above the replacement rate of 2.1 babies are those w/ a married mom at home who works either part-time or not at all.” 👇🏽 pic.twitter.com/XGPcuDAR5d
— Brad Wilcox (@BradWilcoxIFS) September 8, 2026
Data showing the differences in outcomes between children of working moms and stay-at-home moms is hard to find, we do know that homeschooled children, whose education requires an at-home parent (mostly mom), are “healthier, happier, more virtuous” and less likely to engage in unsavory behaviors like illicit drugs, lying, and gambling than their conventionally schooled peers.
The facts is, children are better off if they are intentionally raised by their parents instead of a daycare, a nanny, and a government school. That’s a hard thing for some people, especially women, to hear. After all, many conservative females have bought the feminist-fueled lie that they can have a career and more even though data shows they are happier concentrating prioritizing marriage and kids.
While American families with stay-at-home moms are the minority, that isn’t because women want to be in the workforce; it’s because they have to be. According to a 2015 Gallup poll, a majority of mothers, 56 percent, would prefer to be full-time “homemakers” instead of full-time employees. The working mothers who could find a way leave their jobs over the last few years did so in significant swaths.
In the words of C.S. Lewis, “Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work.” Family is the foundation of civilization. The CCDF as is doesn’t simply pose a threat to the security and stability offered by married parents, it encourages the opposite. Something has to give and it we can’t let it be the foundation.
If Wall Street Republicans have made anything clear over the last couple months, it’s that GDP is God and funneling tax dollars to separate children from their mothers is a good thing. The recent infighting was never about $20 burritos and cutting stay-at-home moms a meager check that would otherwise go to subsidizing single motherhood. It’s about the battle between living out conservative values and accepting the cultural lies we’ve been sold as truth.

Nancy Pelosi Disclosed a Multi-Million Dollar AI Investment Just Weeks Before the Stock Blew Up– www.westernjournal.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi disclosed a multimillion-dollar investment last month in an artificial intelligence company whose stocks exploded in value soon after.
Pelosi’s husband Paul invested in Bloom Energy, a California-based company that provides fuel-cell technology and power systems aimed at meeting the enormous electricity demands of AI data centers.
According to a financial transaction report Pelosi signed Aug. 21, her household made several Bloom Energy purchases in late July.
The transactions included 10,000 shares purchased July 24, along with 100 call options, according to reporting from the New York Post. Another 5,000 shares and 100 additional call options were purchased July 28.
The disclosed value ranges put the combined transactions at a minimum of roughly $3 million, although the actual amount could have been as much as $12 million, because congressional financial disclosure forms use broad dollar ranges.
The July 24 purchases came after Bloom Energy’s stock had suffered a significant decline.
Should members of Congress and their spouses be banned from buying and selling stocks?
Yes: 0% (0 Votes)
No: 0% (0 Votes)
Then came July 28.
That was the same day Bloom Energy reported extremely strong earnings, with annual revenue growth of 165 percent, according to the Post.
Bloom Energy’s stock subsequently took off.
Then, on Sept. 4, another major development arrived: Bloom Energy was announced as a new addition to the S&P 500.
The company is scheduled to join the benchmark index Sept. 21, alongside Everpure and Illumina.
Bloom Energy shares surged following the announcement, with the stock gaining nearly 40 percent over a five-day period, according to the Post.
By Tuesday, Bloom Energy shares were trading around $282.50, compared with $184.89 on July 24, the day of the first Pelosi household purchase.
That’s a striking move in a matter of weeks.
And it makes the timing of the disclosure noteworthy.
Pelosi’s office has said the former speaker does not own stocks and had no knowledge of or subsequent involvement in the transactions.
The trades were made by her husband and reported through the congressional disclosure system as transactions involving a spouse.
In an article about the transactions, financial writer Rich Duprey of 24/7 Wall Street dubbed Pelosi “the queen of capital gains.”
“Pelosi’s trading record in Congress has consistently outpaced the S&P 500 and even Warren Buffett over comparable stretches, fueling suspicion that lawmakers with committee-level oversight enjoy an informational edge,” Duprey observed.
The New York Post said Pelosi “has faced heated blowback for her family’s trading activity — racking up a 65% return on her portfolio in 2023 while her venture capitalist husband made $38 million worth of stock trades in the weeks leading up to President Trump’s inauguration.”
Duprey noted that multiple bills to ban stock trading by members of Congress have been introduced, but they’ve all stalled.
The Democratic former House Speaker’s trades have been so notable that in 2023, GOP Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri introduced one such bill that he dubbed the Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments Act – or the PELOSI Act.
Hawley later met with Democrats and agreed to change the name of the bill to the HONEST Act — Halting Ownership and Non-Ethical Stock Transactions — which allowed enough Democratic support to advance the bill out of committee in July 2025.

WATCH: Families Plead for Mamdani to Stay Away from 9/11 Memorial After He Says He’ll Attend Event Despite Their Wishes: “He’s Serving Himself”– www.thegatewaypundit.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
Families of the victims of 9/11 gathered on Tuesday in Manhattan to send a clear message to New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, telling him to stay away from their 9/11 memorial service.
As Mamdani plans to defy the families’ wishes, Giovanni Galante, the organizer of a petition to bar Mamdani from the event, said they just want “to be left alone” to mourn the 25th anniversary of their losses.
“He just wants to be there because he wants to be there,” said Charles Wolf, noting that “This mayor is not serving us; he’s serving himself.”
The petition, launched by families of the victims and signed by over 100,000 people, describes the event as “not simply a public ceremony,” but “a deeply personal day of mourning.”
“The presence of individuals whose words or associations are perceived as conflicting with the solemn purpose of the event risks detracting from that focus and causing additional pain,” it reads, giving examples of why terrorist sympathizer Mamdani is not welcome.
Concerns have been raised about Mr. Mamdani’s public positions, associations, and responses to rhetoric that many perceive as hostile to these shared values. These include:
- A perceived reluctance to clearly and unequivocally condemn phrases such as “globalize the intifada,” which many interpret as endorsing or normalizing violence.
- Support for, or associations with, individuals whose public statements or records are viewed by concerned family members as dismissive of American institutions or insufficiently critical of extremist ideologies.
- Mr. Mamdani’s own father, whom he has acknowledged as having shaped his views, penned a book shortly after 9/11 in which he argued that suicide bombers should be “understood as a feature of modern political violence rather than stigmatized as a mark of barbarism.” He also argued that there was a moral equivalence between the United States and al-Qaeda.
- Mr. Mamdani has praised Brooklyn Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has been linked to radical Islam, was named as an alleged co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and served as a character witness for the “Blind Sheikh,” who was convicted in 1995 of plotting terror attacks against the United States.
- Mr. Mamdani has blamed the United States for radicalizing Anwar al-Awlaki, an al-Qaeda propagandist linked to the 9/11 hijackers. Critics have likened this to blaming victims rather than perpetrators.
- Mr. Mamdani appointed Ramzi Kassem, who previously represented Ahmed al-Darbi (convicted in an al-Qaeda tanker bombing plot), as New York City’s chief counsel.
- Mr. Mamdani has endorsed candidates such as Aber Kawas, who described 9/11 as an attack “a couple of people did in the context of U.S. capitalism, racism, white supremacy, and Islamophobia,” and who also expressed sympathy for Ahmed Ferhani, who pleaded guilty to plotting to blow up a Manhattan synagogue.
- Mr. Mamdani recently stood with DSA primary winner Darializa Aria Chevalier, who once tweeted, “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me.”
Still, Mamdani declared that he will “proudly honor the families, the survivors, the first responders, forever impacted by that horrific terror attack by standing alongside them at this year’s 9/11 commemoration,” the Gateway Pundit reported.
On Tuesday, family members, first responders, and elected officials made their final pleas for the mayor not to attend.
Giovanni Galante, who lost his wife Grace in the terrorist attack and organized the petition, said at the press conference, “I’m here to honor my beautiful wife and to have this man not attend our service. The main purpose is just that we don’t believe in what he believes in, and we really want us to be left alone.”
“The purpose of this whole thing, this 25th anniversary, is for our, you know, victims and us survivors to blend in and pray that day for all the families, not have a circus around us,” he said.
Monica Iken, who lost her husband, Michael, stated, “It’s a blessing that we can go to this memorial and honor our loved ones and not just their death. So that’s a very important thing.”
“I support the families. I feel like if the families really feel, if we feel, that we don’t want someone at our world-class memorial museum that’s sacred and hallowed, we feel that that person should respect our wishes,” Iken said.
She further noted that Mamdani “wasn’t even here” during 9/11/2001. “He was 10, he wasn’t in this country, and I think he should really respect us,” she added. “Just let us have our peace, our memorial, to really understand why we’re here. We’re honoring our loved ones.”
“I want to make clear that our petition is not about Mayor Mamdani’s religion or where he came from. It is strictly about the policies that he has today,” said Cheri Sparacio, the wife of 9/11 victim Tom Sparacio. She then pointed to Mamdani’s support for Hasan Piker, who said America deserved 9/11, and his hiring of Ramzi Kassem, who once represented Ahmed al-Darbi, an al-Qaeda operative convicted in the 2002 bombing of a French oil tanker and the brother-in-law of 9/11 Pentagon hijacker Khalid al-Mihdhar.
“Yes, he was a nine-year-old boy when 9/11 happened, but it is today that he stands with people like Hasan Piker. It is today that he hires people like Ramzi Kassem. It is today that he stands with an imam that was a co-conspirator of the 93 bombing. That is what we object to,” she said.
Jeannette Puccio-Pick, whose father was killed in the attack when she was nine years old, put it simply, saying, “My message to Mayor Mamdani is: Dude, we don’t want you to come.”
“We don’t want a mayor who only wants to be there for the publicity. This mayor is not serving us; he’s serving himself. We are asking, respectfully, that he not show up,” said Charles Wolf, whose wife, Katherine, was killed while working in the North Tower on 9/11.
“Even though there is going to be other politicians there, these are the politicians that helped us, pushed beneficial laws through, and literally held our hand during that time. Mayor Mamdani has not shown any of that, none of it. He just wants to be there because he wants to be there. So, we are asking him to respect the fact that trauma is revived during the ceremony. It is a private ceremony. It is not a public ceremony. Mayor Mamdani, please do not come.”
WATCH:
After the speeches, the reporters present had no questions for the families. There was no way for them to defend Mamdani.
Fox’s Harris Faulkner was in disbelief at the press’s refusal.

JUST IN: Lindsay Clancy Juror Makes Shocking Admission: ‘I Thought She Was Guilty’– trendingpoliticsnews.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
A juror who ultimately voted to acquit Lindsay Clancy has revealed she originally believed the Massachusetts mother was guilty and criminally responsible for killing her three young children.
The anonymous woman, identified by CBS Boston as juror No. 5, said her opinion changed during contentious deliberations that ended with an 11-1 deadlock and a mistrial last week.
The juror said she knew little about the nationally followed case before being selected because she does not regularly watch the news.
She entered deliberations leaning toward conviction.
‘Originally, I felt that she was guilty and she was criminally responsible for it.’
Even after voting to acquit Clancy by reason of insanity, the juror acknowledged that she remains conflicted about the case.
‘Maybe I still believe that Clancy is guilty, in a certain way,’ she admitted.
Clancy, 36, is charged with killing her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, inside the family’s Duxbury home in January 2023.
She admitted strangling the children with exercise bands but pleaded not guilty, with her defense arguing that postpartum psychosis left her unable to appreciate the wrongfulness of her actions.
Prosecutors maintained that Clancy was criminally responsible and deliberately carried out the killings.
The anonymous juror said the evidence initially left her inclined to side with prosecutors, particularly the harrowing 911 call made by Clancy’s husband, Patrick, after discovering the children.
‘I will never be the same after that 911 call,’ the juror said.

The recording was played for jurors but has not been publicly released.
She also pushed back against online conspiracy theories accusing Patrick Clancy of killing the children and framing his wife.
‘If these people could have heard that visceral, blood-curdling scream,’ she said. ‘It was horrifying.’
But her assessment of Lindsay Clancy‘s criminal responsibility shifted as jurors reviewed the evidence and debated her mental condition.
RELATED: NEW: Lindsay Clancy Jurors Break Their Silence In Interview After Mistrial
‘I think this was a woman who was not mentally healthy, she was in the throes of a significant mental crisis,’ the juror said.
‘I really just felt like she was so deep in it that she couldn’t see her way out, and this was the only option.’
She eventually concluded that prosecutors had not eliminated enough doubt for her to convict.
‘There was not a single moment throughout that presentation of that case that you could say, ‘Oh yep, 100 percent I’m certain she did it,” she recalled. ‘There is too much gray area.’
The juror also offered a dramatically different view of the lone holdout who prevented an acquittal.
Three other jurors who spoke publicly this week criticized the unidentified man for refusing to change his vote, but juror No. 5 said he was not the only person in the room who had dug in.
RELATED: Lindsay Clancy’s Attorney Sends Jaw-Dropping Message To Trump
‘This standalone juror was not the only one that was unwilling to see things from the other side, so I’m going to kind of defend that individual,’ she said.
‘There were some big personalities in that room, but at the end of the day, I feel like it just came down to an inability to move past your convictions.’
She said other jurors began trying to persuade the holdout early in the deliberations, with tensions eventually growing intense enough that arguments could reportedly be heard outside the jury room.
Foreperson Roni Carlson and jurors Kellie Farina and Paula Devlin have separately said the holdout acknowledged having reasonable doubt but still refused to return a not guilty by reason of insanity verdict.
Carlson recalled becoming optimistic that the jury had finally reached an agreement before the man again refused to acquit.
‘but I’m still not going to say she’s not guilty,’ Carlson recalled.
Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial Sept. 4 after more than a week of deliberations failed to produce a unanimous verdict.
The latest juror interview now reveals that the final 11-1 split did not necessarily reflect where every juror began. At least one woman who ultimately sided with Clancy entered the jury room believing she was guilty before changing her position after reviewing the case with the other jurors.
Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump Discussed Potential Trilateral Meeting With Xi Jinping: Kremlin– www.ndtv.com

EXCERPT:
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump discussed the idea of holding a trilateral meeting with China’s Xi Jinping at an upcoming summit in November, the Kremlin said Wednesday.
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is scheduled to hold a summit in the Chinese city of Shenzhen between November 18-19.
Russia has indicated Putin will attend, although the White House has not yet announced whether Trump will be there.
Asked whether Trump and Putin discussed the idea of a trilateral meeting in Shenzhen during their phone call on Tuesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “Undoubtedly.”
“This potential possibility has been mentioned before, and there will be such an opportunity,” Peskov told reporters, including AFP.
APEC is an intergovernmental forum that dates to the 1980s.
The group, which includes Russia, China and the United States, is among the most important forums for economic cooperation in the Asia Pacific.
The November summit comes as Washington pushes Russia for an end to the Ukraine war, and amid deepening ties between Moscow and Beijing.
US envoys visited both Moscow and Kyiv last week, but did not announce a breakthrough in talks to end the war in Ukraine.

Los Angeles Is Flooded With Government-Funded Non-Profits– thefederalist.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
Massive sums of money, washing into an endless system of creeks and gullies, diffusing and disappearing.
The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, a county-city joint powers authority that has been largely abandoned by county officials over serious concerns about effectiveness, financial transparency, and basic operational competence, proudly says that it funds “more than 100 nonprofit partner agencies” in a single county.
To begin to understand what that giant system of non-profit corporations looks like in practice, look closely at a single example: Special Service for Groups (SSG). The Charity Navigator website describes SSG as an entity that performs a remarkably broad cluster of roles: “Provide behavioral health, support for older adults, social justice/anti hate, HIV/AIDS related, an extensive array of homeless, substance abuse and health access initiatives and services to vulnerable communities.”
Many divisions with different purposes live under SSG’s corporate umbrella. The Asian and Pacific Islander Forward Movement (APIFM) works within that local population on “community health and environmental justice issues,” for example, while Access to Prevention Advocacy Intervention & Treatment (APAIT) provides advocacy, education, and health services to “people at-risk for or living with HIV/AIDS.”
You can read about APAIT’s Trans Pride Gala here, as an example of their publicly funded work, and see a complete list of SSG’s divisions on the main SSG website (where they scroll across a banner near the top).
But SSG is becoming particularly important in homeless services, and is broadly funded as a homeless services agency. More about those details in a moment.
After its function, the next thing to understand about SSG is where the money comes from. In fiscal year 2025, which ended in June of that year, the organization had a little more than $264 million in revenue. You can find that number in their Form 990, the financial disclosure document a non-profit corporation has to file annually with the IRS. But if you open that document, keep scrolling down until you get to the sources of that cash. It’s on pg. 9, the “statement of revenue.” Screenshot:
Of $264 million in annual revenue, about $260 million comes from government grants, or about 98.5 percent of SSG’s total funding. As their audited financial statements show, about $60 million of that public funding comes in the form of federal grants, much of which has been “passed through” to SSG through state and local governments.
So in practice, SSG is a government agency without really being one, providing government-funded services as a private corporation that has no obligation to comply with transparency laws like the California Public Records Act or the state’s open meeting law for local governments. They spend public money under corporate transparency rules: private enterprise with government funds.
Still, SSG has some financial disclosure requirements as a non-profit corporation, and we can see on their Form 990 what they pay their top employees:
In its current form, SSG was created in September of 1993, from the bones of an older non-profit and a set of “restated” articles of incorporation.
You can scroll through twenty-five years of SSG’s financial history at ProPublica’s Nonprofit Explorer website. It’s a story of growth, then of rapid growth: In 2006, about $23 million in government grants (and $26 million overall); in 2016, about $53 million in government grants; and then, in 2019, after the Measure H sales tax increases for homeless services passed in 2017, a big jump to about $108 million in government grants.
Finally, as Los Angeles County voters passed the larger Measure A sales tax increase for homeless services in 2024, SSG’s annual revenue jumped in a single year by more than $50 million. You can go see that big jump for yourself, comparing fiscal year 2024 to fiscal year 2025 on the Nonprofit Explorer page for SSG. Also compare fiscal year 2023 to 2024, because they added almost $100 million in annual revenue in just three explosive years:
Around $167 million to $264 million, as a non-profit that had $26 million in revenue just 10 years ago.
As SSG has pushed more aggressively into the broad funding and delivery of homeless services, where a lot of public funding is available, its record has suggested that the non-profit may be growing beyond its expertise. With close to $8.5 million in city, state, and foundation funding, SSG now owns a former motel in South Los Angeles that it plans to convert into supportive housing for the homeless. Six years after the City of Los Angeles bought that property and passed it to SSG, a motel that was in operation and hosting guests when it was taken over now looks like this:
City officials have given SSG a few more years to find additional funding to begin the project, but for now a working motel has been turned into a stripped and gutted property with a security fence around it.
More controversially, SSG had a significant financial partnership for years with a Los Angeles businessman named Alexander Soofer, who is now awaiting trial in state and federal courts on a long list of fraud charges. Prosecutors allege that Soofer diverted $10 million in public funding that was intended for homeless services to his personal accounts, using the money to fund luxury travel and a $7 million house.
An interesting wrinkle in Soofer’s prosecution recently appeared in reporting from the Los Angeles news organization LAist, which pointed out for the first time that Soofer had two corporations with similar names: Abundant Blessings, a non-profit, and Abundant Blessings from Above, a for-profit corporation. Both LAHSA and SSG paid both of Soofer’s corporations with public funds to provide services like transitional housing to the homeless, but they don’t appear to have noticed that Soofer was using his for-profit corporation to collect homeless services funds. You can see this detail in SSG’s Form 990, for several years in a row. Here’s the most recent example, from the 2025 form:
For several years, SSG reported to the IRS that it was providing passed-through public funds to Abundant Blessings from Above, a 501(c)(3). But that was never true:
Distributing millions of dollars a year in public funds, they appear to have had no idea who they were paying.
The Federalist made a significant effort to discuss SSG’s use of public funds with SSG and LAHSA (which provides funding to SSG). The news media contact listed on SSG’s website, an executive at a private public relations firm, didn’t respond to messages, and an email message sent to SSG Executive Director Herbert Hatanaka was blocked by SSG’s email system. Finally, a reporter from The Federalist tried to visit SSG headquarters in person, but was denied access to the office.
LAHSA alone funds “more than 100 nonprofit partner agencies” in Los Angeles County. There’s one, with $260 million in annual taxpayer funding from all government sources, an emptied and gutted motel, and one of their major financial partners awaiting trial.

The establishment strikes back in New Hampshire Senate primary– www.theblaze.com

EXCERPT:
The political establishment has carried the day in the Senate primary elections in New Hampshire.
U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas (D-N.H.) won the Democratic nomination on Tuesday to succeed three-term Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, while former Sen. John Sununu captured the Republican nomination, setting up an open-seat general election critical to both parties’ hopes of running the Senate.
‘I’m New Hampshire.’
With nearly 88% of the expected vote counted, establishment favorite Pappas crushed socialist Karishma Manzur 65% to 33%, with the remaining Democrat vote split among David Jarvis, Maxwell Saal, and John Vail.
Sununu faced a challenge from former Massachusetts senator and Trump administration alum Scott Brown, but ultimately beat him 68.5% to 26.7%. Several other Republicans finished in the distant single digits.
New Hampshire has not elected a Republican senator since 2010, but August University of New Hampshire polling shows Sununu leading Pappas 45% to 43%.
“We’re taking nothing for granted, this is a purple state,” Pappas told MS NOW. “We’ve got a path to victory. But it’s going to be a tough race.”
Former Vice President Kamala Harris carried the Granite State by just three points in 2024, with all 10 counties shifting right since 2020.

Pappas has represented New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District since 2019 and served on the state’s Executive Council from 2013 to 2019. He is co-owner of his family’s Puritan Backroom restaurant. Pappas received endorsements from Sens. Shaheen and Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) and Kamala Harris.
Pappas raised over $15 million during the primary campaign, dwarfing Manzur’s $415,081. Manzur tacked far to Pappas’ left, repeatedly accusing him of being a pro-Israel stooge and corporate cut-out.
“Chris Pappas’ hypocrisy is evident. He talks about getting big money out of politics, then turns around and takes bribes from special interests,” a Manzur campaign spokesperson previously told Blaze News. “He talks about standing up to Netanyahu, yet he has voted to send billions of our tax dollars to support Netanyahu’s war.”
On the Republican side, Sununu served in the House from 1997 to 2003 and the Senate from 2003 to 2009. His father and brother were both governors of New Hampshire.
“I’m New Hampshire. I said in my campaign announcement that I’ll have one job: standing up for New Hampshire every single day,” Sununu told the Dartmouth when asked about his primary challenger Scott Brown. “I’m not focused on another office or currying favor with anyone outside this state.
Brown previously served as senator from 2010 to 2013 after winning the special election prompted by the death of Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.). Brown supported Trump in 2016, netting him an ambassadorship to New Zealand and Samoa.
Sununu received President Donald Trump’s endorsement despite authoring a 2024 op-ed titled “Donald Trump is a loser” in support of Nikki Haley’s 2024 presidential campaign. Sununu later walked back the barb by saying the publication Union Leader chose the headline.
A UNH poll headed into Primary Election Day showed Sununu leading Brown 60% to 20%.

FLORIDA WARNS UK: Boycott Israel, Florida Will Boycott the UK– gellerreport.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
Britain’s threatened sanctions against Judea and Samaria will not come without a punishing price. Under Florida law, any company participating in a boycott of Israel can be stripped of state and local contracts, hit with civil penalties of at least $2 million and barred from bidding on public business for three years. As Rep. Randy Fine warns, British companies forced into London’s anti-Israel crusade could find themselves effectively shut out of one of Britain’s largest American trading partners—costing them billions. Florida’s law helped break Airbnb’s 2019 boycott of Jewish communities, and its message remains unmistakable: If Britain chooses to wage economic war on Israel, Florida can wage economic war on Britain. Boycott Israel—and Florida will boycott you.
Britain has formally announced the policy, not merely floated it. The UK will prohibit imports of goods from Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and bar British companies from supplying financing, construction, infrastructure, real-estate and advertising services there. The measures are expected to take effect within six to nine months. France and Canada announced similar action, while several European governments pledged support.
Florida’s law is unusually broad because its definition of boycotting Israel expressly covers discrimination against businesses operating in “Israeli-controlled territories”—meaning Britain cannot evade it by claiming it is boycotting only Judea and Samaria, rather than Israel itself. Florida can terminate public contracts of any amount with participating entities, refuse future contracts and divest state investments after the statutory review process.
Britain’s boycott is not merely symbolic foreign-policy theater. By ordering British companies to discriminate against Jews doing business in Judea and Samaria, London is placing those companies on a collision course with Florida law—and potentially forcing them to choose between obeying Britain and retaining access to Florida’s lucrative public market. Britain wanted to punish Israel. It may instead punish its own companies, workers and economy.

— Congressman Randy Fine (@RepFine) September 7, 2026
Congressman Randy Fine:
As the British government considers forcing British companies to boycott portions of Israel, it should be aware that a Florida law that I passed as a member of the Legislature would ban any British company forced to comply from doing business with any state or local government in Florida.
It would also end any British business participating in that boycott from doing any business in Florida if it needed any official interaction with state or local government to operate (permits, tax collection).
Florida is one of Britain’s largest trading partners. They should understand that their vanity project in support of Muslim terror could cost them billions of dollars.
And for those who doubt the power of this policy, it was this same law that broke Airbnb’s misguided effort to boycott portions of Israel in 2019. They realized that this law would have bankrupted their company.
Florida has made it clear. Any company — or nation — that boycotts Israel is boycotted by Florida.

Like many Democrat-run cities across the country, Seattle is a hot mess when it comes to combating crime, with city “leaders” often demanding hands-off approaches to things like confronting street thugs, repeat offenders, violent wacktivists, and the like.
Though this approach has been favored for some time now by the Democrats and socialists who hold all the power, Seattle’s openly socialist mayor, Katie Wilson, took things to a whole new level once she took office, making stupid and dangerous decisions like these, for example:

German vote shows rise of far-right in Europe, but it hasn’t been a steady march– abcnews.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
BRUSSELS — The first victory of the Alternative for Germany in a state election has renewed fears of an ascendant far-right in Europe, as voters repeatedly vent discontent and mainstream leaders grapple with myriad crises, from affordability to Russian aggression and scraps with China and the United States over trade.
But while anti-immigrant, pro-Russian parties have made inroads across the continent in recent years, there have also been notable reversals, and some have softened their views to build coalitions with moderates.
The AfD fell short of an absolute majority in Sunday’s vote in Saxony-Anhalt that would have allowed it to form the first far-right state government since the Nazi era — though it may still manage to do so.
Far-right leaders from Portugal to Austria celebrated the win as they ready for elections across Europe in the coming months. These will show whether the vote was a watershed moment in the demise of an anti-fascist consensus dating back to the World War II, or the latest in a series of elections worldwide in which frustrated voters simply cast out incumbents.
The far-right’s biggest success in recent years was the rise of Giorgia Meloni, who became prime minister of Italy, one of Europe’s most influential countries, at the helm of a party with neo-fascist roots.
But Meloni, who campaigned as an EU-skeptic, took a moderate turn in office that has won praise from across the continent and led to her presiding over the most stable government in decades. She now faces a challenge from the right, in the form of an upstart party led by a retired general.

- THE FAUCI DIARY
During the Covid-19 pandemic (or plandemic), our governments put party agenda over human life. Relying on the state for critical healthcare has proven to be an existential challenge to humanity.
Editor Paul Gordon Collier wrote in his August 7, 2026, Deep Dive “How the Smartest Man in the World Almost Killed It,” America chose a messianic General willing to play fast and loose with the facts, and willing to hack off body parts to save the whole, so long as those body parts weren’t his. That man was Dr. Anthony Fauci. He was once the center of power in much of the “free world” during the coronavirus plandemic.
“His decisions would not only influence other nations, but America’s inability to be a beacon of liberty in the time of coronavirus had profound effects on the rest of the ‘free world.’ America legitimized tyranny because ‘the smartest man in the world’ said it was the best thing to do.
“His influence in assuring the coronavirus plandemic maintained its emergency status led to the dramatic expansion of mail-in ballots, setting the stage for a 2020 election where more than 70% of the votes were ‘cast’ through the unreliable, unaccountable mass mailer system (which was even less reliable and accountable than the ones we have now).
“This would dramatically change the trajectory of America, from one challenging Chinese power, the International Order, and European elitism, to one that bowed to China, lifted up the International Order, and feted European elites.”
We do not recommend you entirely abandon the mainstream healthcare system, but we do recommend you develop “off-grid” healthcare plans so that if we are ever faced with another coronavirus-like event we can provide for our healthcare needs without having to submit to draconian rules to do so.
Here are three sources to begin your exploration of Off-Grid Healthcare:

- THE LAND WITH THE AI PRIZE – THE STATE OF AFGHANISTAN
In our August 21, 2026, issue of MIA, we did a Deep Dive on the state of Afghanistan. We wrote, “For most of its existence, Afghanistan has been under the thumb of conquerors who could never quite seal the deal. Its hope of achieving sovereign power in light of the jewels beneath its soil is slim to none, no matter which power, America or China, were to secure access to Afghanistan’s AI prize.
We assess that America as the hegemon will offer greater opportunity for shared flourishing for self-stewarding people than China as hegemon ever would, for China would continue to support the Taliban if they ever broke the factions.
The Islamic State has no allies, for its endgame is world domination, even over China, even over America. The other factions have strong ties to India, Russia, and some to Iran, but all have ties to America and the West as well.
The alliance of China, Russia, and Iran coming out in open support of the Taliban against Pakistan has strained those relations with the factions we featured in our report. Even Pakistan is finding itself gravitating back towards the West as it sees China’s closeness with India and Afghanistan as working against its own interests.
The war with Afghanistan has only accelerated that re-engagement with the West both from Pakistan and the major factions we cover in this report (sans the Islamic State, of course).”
Dependence on Superpower AI for your development, and even your own AI processing power, brings with it the risk we see for Afghanistan, the loss of sovereign, or self-stewarding power. In the case of Afghanistan, this has been their struggle for centuries.
For you, the rise of AI means two things, learning how to work without AI tools, or learning how to effectively use AI tools. For most, the latter is more realistic than the former. For those in the latter group, we recommend you make it a regular habit to utilize multiple AI agents, including open-source AI agents. This will prevent you from becoming too attached or dependent on one AI “voice.” It will also get you overall better results, especially with research.
We utilize multiple AIs during our research process, asking each one the same probing question.
For Afghanistan, their lack of sovereignty will be born from their dependence on a superpower to secure their lands and develop their mineral prizes. For you, AI dependence, especially on superpower AI, is risking becoming propagandized by those same tools.
Here are resources to help you prepare for a world with AI without becoming AI’s tool:

- How to Use AI Without Becoming Stupid – Cedric Chin
- How to Get the Most Out of AI – Without Letting It Think for You – Tharin Pillay – Time
- USEFUL LIFE VERSUS SACRED LIFE
In our August 28, 2026, Weekly issue of MIA, Paul Gordon Collier analyzed two separate news stories that both served as bellwethers for the existential cultural divide in America today.
Paul wrote, “It is white progressive women in particular who have served as the frontline assassins of whites, males, heterosexuals, cis-gendered, and white-aligned Americans. Were they to surrender the trans to science, they would lose their savior status and be just another guilty white person in need of accountability.
“The Pink-shirted Ladies of Lindsay are the epitome of this spirit as it moves past childbearing age and settles into empty high-rise apartments. If Lindsay is guilty of murder, so are they, and they know it. Progressive women alone account for more than 57% of abortions, yet they represent less than 1/3 of the female population.
“These aging women have now hit their 40s and 50s, and they have only become more committed to violence as a means of political persuasion. They must, I think, sense a world that comes to see the nature of their murder-justifying lies will soon remove them from power, or worse. At this point, they have everything to lose and nothing to gain if they surrender, for losing means losing everything, and winning is all that matters now.
“They have engaged in decades of child murder and political corporate assassinations, and a world that rejects progressivism will soon not only reject them, but it will also prosecute them. They won’t be prosecuted for murdering the unborn, they will be prosecuted for committing treason, child abuse, and racist, sexist, hetero-phobic discrimination.
“Their habit of evil has caused them to go all in on that same evil, by any means necessary, for the good of their high-rise apartments.
“We are seeing the final desperate push by the white woman progressive army to hold on to their power. They must fight off their victims, the American people, and the disenfranchised classes they’ve ‘served,’ classes now ready to throw their saviors out.”
Our Final Thought in that same issue, by Bill Collier, was about anchoring yourself in times of great ideological uncertainty. What we see here is a fundamental break with basic reality by a significant percentage of our population. This group holds great administrative power in most “American” institutions.
So many of our readers, and their family and friends, find themselves still trapped in institutions controlled by progressives; some are even public-school teachers attempting to preserve some semblance of Americanism in a system increasingly hostile to them.
Bill Collier wrote in his Final Thought, “Becoming aware of your own paradigms, and how they may contrast or align with others, is essential to navigating your path through the uncertainty and chaos we have faced (and will most likely continue to face for the foreseeable future).”
When do we fight defiantly within those institutions and where must you hold your fire?
To understand that question, you must first understand what is most essential to your belief system. To understand that you must understand what your core belief system really is.
Here are some resources that, in total, can give you a starting point for plumblining your own beliefs. From there, you can act more confidently, and with more courage, once you choose to act defiantly against the progressive state.
- The Plumb Line – New Life – This is an essay about how to plumbline your own belief with scripture. This assumes you have already plumblined your own belief that scripture is your primary source for wisdom.
- How to Chane Core Beliefs: Evidence-Based Strategies – HealthSpectra – This is a material approach to plumblining belief, so be cautious in how you approach this if you are Christian. Yet even for the Christian, there is practical value contained here, so long as you frame it within the boundaries of God’s Word.
- How I Discovered My Core Beliefs (And How You Can Find Yours – Dr. Paul McCarthy – This essay points you to therapy, but within it is a good guide for how to identify what your core beliefs are.
- Own Your beliefs – Under the Ancient Oaks – John Beckett – Christians beware, this is a self-confessed “pagan” writing here. He also uses the word “own,” which we assume is not actually possible for beings of limited understanding. This is why we say, “steward your beliefs,” not own them. Yet, even as God used evil for good through Pharoah and the 10 sons of Jacob who sold their brother into slavery, so too can you find good things in this essay. There are basic principles here that can help you determine what in you is stewarded and what in you has been blindly assumed.
One principle in the last article that is more important than all others is “You don’t have to figure out everything yourself,” which could be amended to include, “nor can you.”

If you remember the early days of Covid-19, you probably remember the confusion just as much as the fear.
One week masks were “not necessary,” the next week they were “strongly recommended.” Guidance changed on travel, testing, quarantine, school closures, and boosters. Some of those changes were totally reasonable because the evidence was changing, while others were about protecting authority, not people.
Be it understood or not, the way it was communicated often made people feel like they were being managed, not informed (because, in part, they were).
And that’s the real takeaway. Covid-19 didn’t just test healthcare systems. It tested trust.
Transparency is not a “nice-to-have” during a public health crisis. It is part of the response. When it’s missing, even good policies get treated like suspicious ones.
Here are the biggest transparency lessons Covid-19 left us with, and why they still matter now.
1) People can handle uncertainty. They can’t handle spin.
A lot of public messaging tried to sound confident. The intention was probably to keep people calm.
But confident messaging without clear evidence can backfire fast. The moment the guidance changes, people assume someone lied.
A more transparent approach sounds like this:
- Here’s what we know today.
- Here’s what we don’t know yet.
- Here’s what we’re doing to find out.
- Here’s what would make us change our recommendation.
That style of communication treats adults like adults. It also makes updates feel normal instead of suspicious.
2) “Show your work” builds trust faster than any slogan
During Covid-19, many decisions were presented as final answers, with little visibility into the reasoning.
But people wanted the why, not just the what.
When a government agency recommends a policy, the public shouldn’t need to reverse engineer the logic through press conferences, leaks, or Twitter threads. Publish the evidence summaries. Explain how benefits and harms were weighed. Share the assumptions.
Even better, say what you would do differently if the assumptions are wrong. That one move alone changes the tone from “obey” to “collaborate.”
3) Data transparency beats vibes, every time
A big problem throughout the pandemic was that the data people needed was often late, inconsistent, or hard to compare across regions. In some places, basic metrics were changed midstream without clear explanation. In others, dashboards looked great but hid key details like how “cases” were defined or which tests counted.
Transparent data means:
- Clear definitions (what exactly is being measured?)
- Consistent reporting (so trends actually mean something)
- Open methods (how the numbers were cleaned and calculated)
- Easy access (so researchers and journalists can sanity-check)
When data is messy, the gap gets filled by rumors. And once the rumor machine starts, it is hard to stop.
4) Conflicts of interest don’t go away. They just go underground.
Covid-19 put a spotlight on how decisions can be questioned when there are real or perceived conflicts, whether that’s pharma relationships, political pressure, or institutional incentives.
The fix is not pretending conflicts don’t exist. The fix is making them visible and manageable.
That looks like:
- Public disclosure of financial ties and advisory roles
- Clear rules about who can vote on what
- Independent review processes that are not just symbolic
- Meeting notes and rationales that can be audited later
When people think decisions were made behind closed doors, they assume the worst. Transparency doesn’t guarantee agreement, but it lowers the temperature.
5) Transparency has to include the trade-offs, not just the benefits
Some pandemic policies had real downsides: delayed care, mental health impacts, learning loss, economic pressure, isolation, burnout. Even when a policy is the right call, pretending it has no costs makes the messenger look dishonest.
The public doesn’t need perfection. They need honesty.
A transparent message might be:
“This will reduce hospital overload, but it will also cause hardship. Here are the groups most affected. Here’s what we’re doing to reduce harm. Here’s when we will reassess.”
That is how you keep credibility even when the situation is painful.
6) Local trust matters as much as national guidance
One of the most obvious lessons from Covid-19 is that trust is not evenly distributed. People trust their personal doctor more than a distant agency. They trust local community leaders more than national spokespeople. They trust what they can see.
Transparency works better when it is paired with local messengers and local context.
National guidance is important, but it has to be translated honestly for real communities with real constraints. Otherwise, it turns into a compliance problem instead of a public health effort.
7) The next crisis will punish the same blind spots
It’s tempting to treat Covid-19 as a once-in-a-century event and move on.
But the patterns that broke trust will show up again, whether the next threat is a new virus, an environmental disaster, a drug safety scandal, or a sudden health system shock.
If we want to be better next time, transparency can’t be something we improvise during chaos. It has to be built into the system:
- how data is collected and shared
- how decisions are documented
- how uncertainty is communicated
- how accountability works after the fact
The best time to build trust is before you need it.
What “better transparency” actually looks like going forward
If transparency is the goal, it helps to get specific. Here are a few standards that would have made a huge difference during Covid-19 and would still make a difference now:
- Publish decision memos for major guidance changes in plain language
- Provide open datasets with definitions and revision logs
- Document what evidence was prioritized and why
- Disclose conflicts of interest in a way normal people can understand
- Create clear feedback channels where outside experts can challenge assumptions
- Communicate uncertainty without making it sound like incompetence
This isn’t about making institutions look perfect. It’s about making them believable.
The bigger point
Covid-19 showed us something simple: people will accept tough guidance when they feel respected. They resist when they feel manipulated.
Transparency is respect in action.
And if there’s one good thing we can take from those years, it’s this: the conversation around health transparency is no longer academic. It’s practical. It affects behavior, outcomes, and trust when it matters most.
If you care about public health, research, policy, clinical leadership, or even just how information gets communicated during high-stakes moments, this is the kind of topic worth spending time on, with serious people who are trying to get it right.

EXCERPT:
A prosecutor in New York Attorney General Letitia James’s office accused his supervisors of directing him to target President Donald Trump and affiliated individuals and companies first, then search for crimes afterward.
Assistant Attorney General Daniel Wiesenfeld reportedly sent an agency-wide email on Friday to blow the whistle on the order.
Wiesenfeld is alleging that his supervisor instructed him “to find and pursue crimes committed by specific individuals and organizations affiliated with Donald Trump.”
According to the Times Union, which obtained the message, Wiesenfeld said Investor Protection Bureau chief Shamiso Maswoswe directed him to investigate targets including “Trump himself, Truth Social, Hewlett Packard (DOJ approved merger) … without having a credible reason for targeting this organizations and individuals.”
The email was reportedly sent to hundreds of employees across the attorney general’s office.
However, the email was swiftly deleted from the agency’s servers.
Wiesenfeld then sent a follow-up message warning colleagues against using the office to pursue James’s political enemies.
The Chinese Communist Party has been allowed to set up propaganda outreach programs in 83 U.S. Colleges according to a report by Defending Education.
The report claims the program is called “The Young Envoys Scholarship,” which sends 50,000 U.S. students to study or visit China. The program is “run by the China Education Association for International Exchange, an organization guided by ‘Marxism-Leninism’ and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism.”

A Chinese government program at 83 U.S. colleges is part of an “ongoing effort … to influence American students’ perceptions of the communist country,” according to a recent report by a conservative watchdog group.
The Young Envoys Scholarship is an international exchange initiative launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2024 to bring 50,000 U.S. students to study or participate in cultural visits to China, according to the Defending Education report.
It is “run by the China Education Association for International Exchange, an organization guided by ‘Marxism-Leninism’ and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism,” the report states.
Reagan Dugan, Director of Higher Education Initiatives at Defending Education, told The College Fix that the program is operating in American schools without students and families knowing its real agenda.
Dugan added that the program needs greater monitoring. “US oversight must apply the same diligence to American students traveling to China at the behest of the CCP that they do to foreign students studying in America,” she said.
A policy expert also raised national security concerns.

The president called the deal “THE BIGGEST OIL DEAL IN WORLD HISTORY.” Trump wrote that the United States secured “majority U.S. control” of over 65 million barrels’ worth of Venezuelan oil reserves.
Trump credited Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Interim Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez and “a partnership with private business.”
The president stated that the deal more than doubles American reserves and will “substantially lower Gas Prices for all Americans.” He added that the deal would strengthen the “already growing relationship” between the two countries. In a subsequent Truth Social post, Trump wrote that the agreement was “the biggest oil deal, by far, in World history!”
The president has shown great interest in Venezuela’s oil reserves since the capture of Nicolas Maduro in January 2026. The South American country holds the largest oil reserves in the world — close to 303 billion barrels worth of crude oil.
Trump announced just days after Maduro’s capture that American oil companies would invest “at least $100 billion of their money,” planning to support the construction of important infrastructure. The president stated that Venezuela agreed that the United States would refine and sell 50 million barrels of crude oil, which he said “will continue indefinitely.”
Venezuela’s interim government opened the nation’s oil to the private sector later that month, which Rodriguez called “a generational reset.”

President Donald Trump announced new agreements with major pharmaceutical companies Monday that he said will bring U.S. prescription drug prices in line with the lowest prices paid by other developed countries and save Americans more than $600 billion.
The agreements expand Trump’s most-favored-nation drug pricing initiative, which seeks to end the significantly higher prices Americans have historically paid for many prescription medications compared with patients overseas.
“Our most favored nations’ discounts represent the largest reduction in prescription drug prices in the history of our country,” Trump said during an Oval Office announcement attended by executives from some of the nation’s largest pharmaceutical companies.
The administration now has most-favored-nation agreements with 26 pharmaceutical manufacturers representing 89% of the branded prescription drug market, according to the White House.
Americans have long paid substantially more for prescription drugs than patients in other wealthy countries. A 2024 RAND Corp. analysis found that U.S. prescription drug prices averaged nearly three times those in comparison countries, while prices for branded medications were more than four times as high.
