For the 13th time, the U.S. Senate has failed to reach the 60 votes needed to pass the continuing budget resolution that would re-open the government. The vote was 55-45, with two Democrats breaking ranks and voting for the CR while one Republican voted against the CR. Getting a clear picture of the differences between the two is near impossible, with AI tools doing little more than carrying DNC talking points.
From the White House: FACT: Democrats’ proposal would result in nearly $200 billion spent on healthcare for illegal immigrants and other non-citizens over the next decade — enough to fund the entire Children’s Health Insurance Program.
While the DNC CLAIMS it’s not defending illegal aliens from losing healthcare coverage, Republicans insist they do. The language used by the DNC and its illegal campaign advertisers (with Reuters doing the most offensive work) is intentionally obtuse beyond defiantly declaring the DNC doesn’t want to fund illegal aliens. For now, MIA’s stance is the evidence points to the DNC wanting to fund illegal alien healthcare, or worse, destabilize America for the Progmerican revolution to grow.
Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is breaking ranks, saying to his own party, “As a committed Democrat, I’m dismayed my party is playing chicken with the food security of 42M Americans. I reject a political gamble that exposes a vulnerable constituency to widespread deprivation and chaos.”
This tactic appears, more and more, about causing “widespread… chaos” for the intentional of revolution than anything else. Read why the DNC should be declared a terrorist organization on pg. 2, remembering the American left STILL exists and should NOT be caught up in the judgement to come for the leaders of the Progmerican left.
Your taxpayer dollars and mine were paying for a special makeup artist at the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) — that is, until DOGE got involved.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) cut contracts with a ceiling value of around $17 billion altogether over the last three weeks. It seems as if the waste and fraud in our federal government is endless, and DOGE has to wade through an absolute mountain of corrupt insanity as it tries to restore fiscal responsibility to the government.
Former President Barack Obama and California Governor Gavin Newsom are urging Californians to vote in favor of Proposition 50, a ballot measure that would replace the state’s independent redistricting system with a legislature-approved map projected to eliminate several Republican-held congressional districts.
On Tuesday, California Governor Gavin Newsom posted on X, “Listen to @barackobama,” sharing a new video featuring former President Barack Obama encouraging voters to support Proposition 50 in the state’s November 4 special election.
In the video, Obama says:
“California, the whole nation is counting on you. Democracy is on the ballot November 4. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to rig the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years. With Prop 50, you can stop Republicans in their tracks. Prop 50 puts our elections back on a level playing field, which preserves Independent Redistricting over the long term, and lets the people decide. Return your ballot today. Vote yes on 50.”
The ad marks Obama’s latest effort to promote Gov. Newsom’s redistricting plan, which would replace California’s independent redistricting commission — created by voters in 2008 — with a partisan-drawn map. According to previous Breitbart News reports, the proposal would reduce Republican-held seats in California’s congressional delegation from nine to five, even though roughly 40 percent of voters supported Republican candidates in the 2024 election.
Obama has described Newsom’s proposal as a “reasoned and measured approach,” writing on X in August, “Over the long term, we shouldn’t have political gerrymandering in America, just a fair fight between Republicans and Democrats based on who’s got better ideas. But since Texas is taking direction from a partisan White House and gerrymandering in the middle of a decade to try and maintain the House despite their unpopular policies, I have tremendous respect for how Governor Newsom has approached this. He’s put forward a smart, measured approach in California, designed to address a very particular problem at a very particular moment in time.”
At a fundraiser on Martha’s Vineyard, Obama praised the initiative further, saying, “We’re only going to do it if and when Texas and/or other Republican states begin to pull these maneuvers. Otherwise, this doesn’t go into effect.”
California Republicans have sued to stop Newsom’s plan, calling it unconstitutional and arguing it violates the 30-day public notice requirement for legislation. The California Supreme Court, however, ruled in August that the plan could proceed, allowing the governor to use a “gut and amend” tactic to fast-track the measure through the legislature.
The special election — estimated to cost $250 million — will ask voters to approve the new map and amend the state constitution to permit mid-decade redistricting. The Democratic National Committee has launched bilingual outreach campaigns in support of Prop 50 focusing on Latino voters, while major donors including billionaire Tom Steyer have funded multimillion-dollar ad campaigns promoting the initiative.
Polls indicate that a majority of Californians still favor retaining the state’s independent redistricting commission. A UC Berkeley–Politico survey found that 64 percent of voters prefer the current system, compared to 36 percent who support the governor’s proposed changes.
California’s redistricting fight is part of a broader national battle following Texas’s new “One Big Beautiful Map” which adds five Republican-leaning districts. Obama and former Attorney General Eric Holder, through the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, have pledged to counter GOP-led redistricting efforts, characterizing them as “an existential threat to our democracy.”
Over the course of the five days after the controversy broke, major CBS, ABC, and PBS broadcast shows refused to discuss Democrat Jay Jones’ violent text messages in which he fantasized about assassinating a political opponent, a new analysis revealed.
NBC alone dedicated a mere 63 seconds to the Virginia attorney general candidates’ texts, Media Research Center’s study of major NBC, ABC, CBS, and PBS segments revealed. The analysis included the shows ABC World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News, ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS Mornings, CBS Saturday Morning, CBS Sunday Morning, NBC Today, NBC Sunday Today, ABC’s This Week, NBC’s Meet the Press, CBS’s Face the Nation, and PBS’s NewsHour. MRC analyzed the programs from Friday, the day the National Review broke the story about Jones’ messages, through Tuesday morning.
National Review revealed messages Jones sent to a former colleague in 2022 in which he said, “Put Gilbert in the crew with the two worst people you know and he receives both bullets every time.” The hypothetical Jones proposed put Gilbert on par with Hitler and Pol Pot.
Since the catastrophic Los Angeles firestorm destroyed 6,800 houses and businesses in the Pacific Palisades, inquisitive people in L.A. have wondered if a fire that firefightersallegedly put out a week before continued to smolder underground only to kick up on January 7 when it was breathed back into life by Santa Ana winds. According to the U.S. Attorney in Central California, Bill Essayli, investigators looking into what sparked the fire, the answer to that question is yes, but there are other considerations, which we’ll get to in a moment.
The alleged arsonist is believed to have set his family Bible on fire to spark the flames, admitting months later that he “Burned the Bible I had literally.”
Indeed, he admitted to ChatGPT: “I am 28 years old. And… I basically… This just happened. Maybe like… I don’t know, maybe like 3 months ago or something. Like, the realization of all this. I literally burnt the Bible that I had. It felt amazing. I felt so liberated.” About the same time he wrote to a family member that he had, “Burned the Bible I had literally.”
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) is eying a proposal to end the government shutdown as the gridlock in Washington, D.C., enters its ninth day.
Thune is “ready” to use Congress’s appropriations process to open the government. It’s an arduous process lawmakers seek to use every year to pass 12 sweeping appropriations bills that provide government funding to different priorities, including defense, education, and healthcare.
Under Thune’s plan, he could wield his power as majority leader to bring a single appropriation bill to the floor one at a time if it has already been passed by the House, such as the defense package, according to Axios.
“We’re prepared to do that,” Thune told the outlet. “[But] that takes consent. We got to find out if the Dems are going to let us do anything while the government is shut down.”
Key Senate Democrats signaled they were on board with the idea, but argued it wouldn’t substantially change anything in terms of the government shutdown.
“There’s nothing holding [Thune] back from doing that,” Senate Appropriations Ranking Member Patty Murray (D-WA) said. “[But] that does not change where we are right now in the CR….we still have to negotiate with the House. The President has to sign it, so it’s a long way from anywhere.”
On Tuesday, a judge released pending trial the two suspects arrested for ramming and boxing in a vehicle driven by a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agent in Chicago on Saturday, saying they were not a flight risk and could be trusted to appear in court.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Heather McShain was the judge who presided over the detention hearing, Judge McShain said, given that both are U.S. citizens and lifelong residents of Chicago with no criminal history, they can be released on bond, pending trial, WGN Chicago reports.
Marimar Martinez – reportedly armed with a semi-automatic weapon – and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz were participating in a protest against federal immigration law enforcement in the city when they allegedly rammed the CBP vehicle and attempted to box it in.
According to the criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago, Martinez and Ruiz used their vehicles to strike the vehicle containing three CBP agents Saturday morning near the intersection of West 39th Street and South Kedzie Avenue on Chicago’s Southwest Side….
Fifty-two years ago, I found myself in a beautiful corner of central France as a camp counselor to twelve 8- and 9-year-old boys. Four were Algerian, and eight were French. I can still remember some of their names and faces: Kamal, Mohammed, Mustapha, Pierre, Michel, Nicholas, and Jean-Paul. It was a learning experience as well as a memorable one.
The camp lasted a month. I worked six days a week with one day off. On my day off, I would trek many kilometers to a small village called Le Chambon-sur-Lignon.
There, I enjoyed the peace and quiet of life away from twelve very active garçons (“boys”). I especially enjoyed several cups of robust café au lait, drunk leisurely with a croissant or a croque monsieur sandwich. While walking through the village or sitting at the café, I enjoyed observing the villagers. People-watching is one of my favorite pastimes. At the time, I was unaware that I was among a very special group of heroes and heroines.
A man was arrested with 200 “viable” explosives on Sunday. His target was a Catholic Mass known to be routinely attended by SCOTUS justices. Police found a manifesto expressing hatred for Christians, the Supreme Court, Jews and ICE.
It would have added to the 500+ attacks on churches since Roe v. Wade was overturned.
Within earshot of this arrest, the transgender would-be assassin of Justice Kavanaugh got leniency from a Biden-appointed judge. The judge, Deborah Boardman, sentenced the assassin to just eight years instead of the 30 recommended. The primary consideration was that the assassin identifies as transgender.
All this week, the public has witnessed astonishing behavior from authorities in Portland and Illinois. Violent members of Antifa in Portland commit crimes in plain view of police officers with impunity. Worse, they assault conservative reporters and policechoose to arrest or blame the reporters.
You won’t see any pearl-clutching in coastal media newsrooms about the First Amendment implications of police arresting reporters who have been physically assaulted. They simply don’t count as “real” reporters. Also, “Antifa is just an idea,” they say.
Former Democrat Rep. Katie Porter hopes to replace term-limited California Governor Gavin Newsom but she almost stormed out of an interview when challenged on exactly how she intends to lure the Golden State’s Donald Trump voters to her side.
The Independentreports newly released footage of the California gubernatorial aspirant shows her getting testy and threatening to flee an interview as she grows increasingly flustered when pushed to detail her exact plans.
Followup questions left Porter looking a little pained and discombobulated as she clearly felt her interviewer be held beneath contempt for daring to challenge her.
The angry exchange came last month with journalist Julie Watts of CBS News California Investigates. It quickly went south when the reporter asked the former representative about her prospects of luring Republicans.
“What do you say to the 40 percent of California voters, who you’ll need in order to win, who voted for [President Donald] Trump?” Watts asked Porter.
The press conference is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
The Senate is expected to vote on the continuing resolution to end the shutdown again, but it isn’t expected to pass. Republicans and Democrats remain entrenched, engaging in a messaging war to pin the blame for the shutdown on one another.
David Harsanyi recently sounded the alarm in the New York Post that “Gen Z’s casual anti-Semitism is growing.” His warning has some merit, but it also reveals blind spots about the political context he prefers not to acknowledge.
Harsanyi isn’t wrong that ugly anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic rhetoric has surfaced in parts of the populist right. Plenty of very online commentators have insinuated — and in some instances insisted — that Charlie Kirk’s assassination was tied to Israel. Conspiracy theory claims circulate online that Jewish billionaires control conservative media, bribing or blackmailing Republicans into supporting Benjamin Netanyahu in Gaza no matter the cost.
Gen Z has broken old taboos. That’s healthy. But if Zoomers want to be taken seriously, they must separate legitimate criticism of US policy from adolescent conspiracy theories.
This is an “ugly turn,” but it didn’t appear out of thin air. Once the neoconservative gatekeepers lost their grip, a wider debate on the right was inevitable.
For decades, particular outlets and movement foundations policed what conservatives were allowed to say. That censorship has collapsed in the internet era, for better and worse.
I welcome the broader discussion on the right. It was overdue. But the opening comes with a price: young voices saying stupid and reckless things. Then again, establishment conservatives have spent years saying reckless things of their own. My own anthology of commentaries catalogs four decades of such elite nonsense — much of which never saw daylight in “respectable” venues such as National Review, Commentary, or the Wall Street Journal.
Suddenly Democrats who have long turned a blind eye to corruption within the Department of Justice (DOJ) are now worried about its weaponization.
Their timing could not be more disingenuous; it came during a hearing Tuesday, less than 24 hours after clear evidence that former President Joe “Autopen” Biden used the FBI to spy on Republicans. Documents show the FBI obtained cell phone records of eight Republican senators and a U.S. Representative for Jan. 4-8, 2021, as part of the “Arctic Frost” investigation. Arctic Frost eventually became Special Counsel Jack Smith‘s elector lawfare case against Trump.
The Federalist’s Shawn Fleetwood reported the following lawmakers were targeted: Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Penn; and Republican senators Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, and Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming. Some of these Republicans were in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday when Democrats had their great awakening while they were collecting testimony from Attorney General Pam Bondi.
President Donald Trump “embodies” weaponization, crowed Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn.
Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., said he is “gravely concerned” about what will happen when Trump, “demands” Bondi prosecute individuals he views as “opponents or enemies.”
Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Ark., acknowledged that Democrats are now concerned about targeting political enemies.
Weber State University canceled its Unity Conference due to concerns over compliance with a new state law restricting discussions on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics outside of academic settings.
The cancellation sparked backlash over free speech and led to an alternative event, ‘Unity Conference: Uncensored version.’
The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression criticized the university for overinterpreting the law and limiting faculty speech.
Weber State University’s annual Unity Conference was recently canceled by administrators over concerns that its content would violate a new anti-diversity, equity and inclusion law in the state.
The irony? This year’s theme was on censorship.
The decision ignited a firestorm of debate about free speech and academic freedom — and prompted scholars to host an alternative event titled “Unity Conference: Uncensored version.”
… On Sunday, the police arrested a man outside of the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington, DC, hours before the annual Red Mass held for Supreme Court justices to mark the start of their term.
Well, guess what: “During his arrest, Louis Geri threatened to ignite explosives and handed authorities pages of his notebook that, according to court records, expressed animosity toward the Catholic Church, Supreme Court justices, members of the Jewish faith and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”
According to The Washington Post, the court papers allege Louis Geri, 41, of Arizona and New Jersey, warned the cops, “You might want to stay back and call the federales, I have explosives.”
Just wow:
The officer called over a sergeant with the bomb squad, court records show, who told Geri he had to move because there was an event. Geri — 41, of Vineland, New Jersey — said he knew about the event and continued to insist he had bombs.
“Do you want me to throw one out, I’ll test one out on the streets? I have a hundred-plus of them,” he told the sergeant, according to court records. “If you just step back, I’ll take out that tree. No one will get hurt, there will just be a hole where that tree used to be.”
When officers told Geri they were going to forcefully remove him if he did not leave, court documents show he responded by telling police that “several of your people are gonna die from one of these.”
WINCHESTER, Virginia—The one thing that has been consistent in covering Virginia’s off-year statewide elections since as far back as the year Republicans George Allen and Jim Gilmore ran for governor and attorney general, respectively, in 1993 is that the races really don’t start moving until September.
And when they do, they move fast.
Allen began that summer trailing badly in his race against Democrat Mary Sue Terry. Early polling showed her earning 56% support of Virginia’s voters to Allen’s 27%.
By September of that year, Allen had cut Terry’s lead from 18 percentage points to 6, according to the Mason-Dixon polling at that time that showed him trailing her 46%-40%.
Gilmore, who was running against Democrat Bill Dolan for attorney general, had also moved into a close race against Dolan.
Allen won by a whopping 58% of the vote to Terry’s 41%, marking the first time a Republican had won a statewide election since 1977. Gilmore defeated Dolan by 10 percentage points.
But let’s not hide behind claims that the lyrics that were released were simply being misconstrued. Not when you have a history of talking smack to those cops during an arrest for obstruction in 2023. Not when you warned fans against “insulting transgender people” during the height of the Bud Light controversy. And not when you scolded them for using expletives to insult Joe Biden.
The aerobic freakout has begun inside the liberal media over the new owners of CBS News appointing “anti-woke” Bari Weiss to the new post of “Editor In Chief.” None of the CBS veterans want a new boss with a new ideology. They like pretending they don’t have an ideology. They call themselves courageously “independent.”
Paramount Chief Executive David Ellison wants to put CBS News firmly in the middle: “We want CBS to speak to that 70 percent of the audience that would really define themselves as center-left to center-right.”
In her initial memo to employees, Weiss stated several principles that are absolute anathema inside CBS: “Journalism that holds both American political parties to equal scrutiny,” and “Journalism that embraces a wide spectrum of views and voices so that the audience can contend with the best arguments on all sides of a debate.”
The anonymous leakers are already on fire. Jeremy Barr of The Guardian spread the early spurts: “CBS News veterans I’ve talked to are encouraging Bari Weiss to not mess with the Golden Goose(s) of 60 Minutes and CBS News Sunday Morning.”
If this were any other state (except for maybe New York), Katie Porter’s performance here would be detrimental to her gubernatorial aspirations. But because it’s California where Democrats could murder your mother in front of you and still get elected just so long as they aren’t Republican, she may have picked up 5% on the polls.
Not familiar with Rep. Katie Porter? She’s special:
She’s running in the Democrat primary to succeed Gavin Newscum as California governor. Newscum is attempting to subvert democracy with a scam to gerrymander California’s congressional districts even more gerrymandered than they already are, leaving 40+% of Republican Californians with only 9% of the congressional seats.
A question asked of all the candidates is if they agree with Newscum’s scheme, and if they care about the 40% of the state they are running to represent. Porter had her talking point prepared, but when the reporter followed up, she had her meltdown.
On the second anniversary of the largest slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust, Zohran Mamdani blood libelled Israel in a heinous and inaccurate statement. Accusing Israel of genocide and apartheid, as it fights for it’s life against genocidal Hamas. Zohran Mamdani represents an existential threat to New York City’s Jewish population. Shame on Jerry Nadler, Brad Lander, and other Leftist ‘Jews’ (here) who are licking the shoes of this vicious Jew-hater.
Two years after Hamas launched its barbaric massacre against Israel and the Jewish people, Mamdani has chosen to act as a mouthpiece for Hamas propaganda — spreading Hamas’s fake genocide campaign.
By repeating Hamas’s lies, he excuses terror and normalizes antisemitism.

CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins praised President Trump’s stamina and accessibility to the media.
During an appearance on Jason Tartick’s podcast “Trading Secrets,” Collins commented on Trump’s surprising lack of need for sleep.
“He like does not sleep,” Collins commented.
“You never want to be on Air Force One on a trip,” she said, adding, “he doesn’t sleep on these trips.”
“Trump is just always up and talking, and he’ll have them go wake staff up if they’re asleep because he wants to talk to them,” she continued.

Feds Investigating Democrats After 250 Blank Ballots Are Found In Amazon Package– trendingpoliticsnews.com Source Link Excerpt:
State and federal authorities in Maine are investigating a jaw-dropping case of 250 blank ballots that were delivered to a voter in an Amazon box.
The inexplicable oversight is casting a pall over the office of Shenna Bellows, the Democratic secretary of state who last year attempted to keep President Donald Trump off Maine’s presidential ballot. Authorities were made aware after the ballots were reported missing by the town of Ellsworth, and a resident later called to report that her unanticipated Amazon delivery contained them.
The box appeared to have been opened and retaped when it arrived, the woman told investigators.
“Safe and secure elections are my top priority. As soon as we became aware of allegations of ballots being received outside of the appropriate chain of custody, I immediately initiated an investigation through my Secretary of State’s law enforcement division. Law enforcement is working diligently to determine who is responsible, and they will be held accountable. We will not stop until we have answers,” Bellows said in a statement to ABC News.
“This year, it seems that there may have been attempts to interrupt the distribution of ballots and ballot materials,” Bellows said later at a press conference.
“I have full confidence that law enforcement will determine who is responsible, and any bad actor will be held accountable,” she added.
White House debates pulling back pay from furloughed workers– www.washingtonexaminer.com Source Link Excerpt:
The White House is scrutinizing ways to keep federal workers who were furloughed during the government shutdown from receiving back pay.
The Trump administration is eyeing a memo from the Office of Management and Budget that asserts there is a loophole in a 2019 federal law seeking to ensure government workers are guaranteed retroactive compensation for time off during shutdowns, an administration official confirmed to the Washington Examiner.
The development comes as President Donald Trump and Republican leadership in the House and Senate seek to increase pressure on Democrats to pass a “clean” continuing resolution to reopen the government. If the White House acts on OMB’s recommendation, the Trump administration will say Democrats are to blame for as many as 750,000 federal workers being denied retroactive pay due to accusations that the opposition triggered the move by thwarting the CR’s passage.
The memo from OMB Director Russell Vought’s office argues that an amendment made to the Government Employee Fair Treatment Act nine days after the law’s original signing changes the interpretation of the back pay protections for furloughed workers, according to Axios. Rather than workers automatically getting back pay under GEFTA, Congress would have to get involved in funding retroactive salaries, under OMB’s interpretation of the law.
Biden-Appointed Judge Orders James Comey’s Arraignment Moved Up to Wednesday Morning Over ‘Security Reasons’– conservativeroof.com Source Link Excerpt:
The arraignment of former FBI Director James Comey was moved up to Wednesday morning at 10 am ET for ‘security reasons.’
“The arraignment of Defendant James B. Comey, Jr. shall begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8,2025, in Courtroom 600 on the Sixth Floor of the Albert V. Bryan United States Courthouse,” the judge wrote in a 2-page order.
“Because there are multiple previously-scheduled matters that are expected to draw large numbers of people to the courthouse at the same time as the arraignment, and because it is necessary to ensure the security of the Court, the parties, and the public, it is hereby ordered that Defendant is summoned to appear for arraignment before this Court on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 10 am.,” the judge said.
Comey was originally set to be arraigned this Thursday morning after he was indicted by a grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia last month.
His case was assigned to US District Judge Michael Nachmanoff, a Biden appointee.
Chicago police ordered to stand down as ICE agents were surrounded by agitators | The Post Millennial– thepostmillennial.com Source Link Excerpt:
“They were saying that they were being surrounded by that large crowd and they were requesting the police and we’re not sending?”
Chicago police officers were ordered to withdraw from the scene of a violent confrontation involving federal agents on Saturday, after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in the city turned chaotic.
According to CWB Chicago, the incident began around 10:30 am when a woman called 911, reporting that an ICE agent had shot her in the 3900 block of South Kedzie Avenue. Chicago officers initially responded, but federal agents on scene said the woman was armed and part of a caravan attempting to obstruct ICE operations.
The woman, identified by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as 32-year-old Marimar Martinez, suffered gunshot wounds to her legs, arm, and chest and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital. DHS said Martinez “was armed with a semi-automatic weapon and has a history of doxxing federal agents.” The agency added that she “took defensive fire from CBP agents” and has since been released from the hospital and taken into FBI custody.
It Speaks Volumes Democrats Are Sticking With Jay Jones– www.dailysignal.com Source Link Excerpt:
Less than a month after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, Virginia Democrats are carrying water for a candidate who wished death on his political opponent, hoped his opponent’s wife would watch as her children died, and said he would urinate on his opponent’s grave.
Jay Jones, the Democrat nominee for attorney general in the Old Dominion, has not denied the report of these horrifying comments, though he said he regrets them and has apologized to Todd Gilbert, the Republican former speaker of the House of Delegates about whom he made the remarks.
While Virginia Democrats have condemned the remarks, they have not called for Jones to drop out of the race to become the Old Dominion’s top law enforcement officer, leaving it to Republicans to say that such remarks are disqualifying, especially for an attorney general candidate and especially now as political violence has ramped up on the Left.
As National Review’s Audrey Fahlberg first reported, Jones texted the death wish to Republican House Delegate Carrie Coyner on Aug. 8, 2022, after Republicans had eulogized Joe Johnson Jr., a moderate Democrat. Gilbert had honored Johnson’s memory, though he had disagreed with Johnson on many issues.
Portland Police Let Antifa Militants Go While Arresting Journalists– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
Arresting victims of Antifa and journalists who report on Antifa’s behavior seems to be a pattern for the Portland Police, according to reporting by Fox News’s Bill Melugin.
Independent journalist Nick Sortor says Portland Police arrested him Thursday night on a charge of “disorderly conduct” after Antifa militants surrounded and attacked him for taking unflattering videos of them. Antifa is a leftist domestic terrorist group that amped up its activities in the United States with the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots.
BREAKING: Just spoke on the phone with @nicksortor after he was released from custody. He tells me he’s been charged with disorderly conduct. I asked what happened?
He says he was getting video of protesters getting maced by federal agents, which was embarrassing video for them…
AG Bondi Appeals the Kavanaugh Assassination Sentence but That Is the Tip of the Judicial Iceberg – RedState– redstate.com Source Link Excerpt:
Friday, Federal District Judge Deborah Boardman, a Joe Biden appointee, sentenced the man who attempted to assassinate Associate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to eight years in prison. During a meandering two-hour soliloquy, Boardman tried to justify a sentence that represented a stunning downward departure of 22 years from the sentence recommended by sentencing guidelines and the prosecutors. My colleague Bonchie has the whole story of those sordid proceedings in Outrage: Biden Judge Gives Kavanaugh Assassin Shocking Sentence, Praises Attacker’s ‘Transgenderism’ – RedState.
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the Department of Justice will appeal the ridiculously lenient sentence.
The attempted assassination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was a disgusting attack against our entire judicial system by a profoundly disturbed individual. @TheJusticeDept will be appealing the woefully insufficient sentence imposed by the district court, which does not…

Illegal Alien Running Des Moines School Had Long Rap Sheet– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released new criminal information in the case of Ian Andre Roberts, the illegal alien hired as superintendent to lead the K-12 Des Moines Independent Community School District.
The criminal history calls into question how he passed an employment background check to work in a school. The district brought a lawsuit Friday against the firm that vetted Roberts, but this employment is not all on one company. Board members should have done their due diligence, personally examined his background, and had more interaction with him.
Democrats have been protesting his removal, but as The Federalist’s Executive Editor Joy Pullman recently wrote, “He’s the inevitable product of a system the Left has built for rewarding people for pushing hateful, un-American ideology at public expense and punishing excellence.”
Roberts has been in the U.S. 29 years, and in that time he has been convicted of reckless driving and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm. He was also charged in separate incidents with criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell, criminal possession of a forgery instrument, unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal possession of a firearm, and most recently, being an illegal alien in possession of firearms, according to DHS.
