Under the terms of the agreement, Washington will seek to ensure the program remains focused on civilian purposes by retaining influence over key aspects of Riyadh’s nuclear infrastructure.

What makes the deal truly significant is Trump’s decision to decouple it from Saudi-Israeli normalization efforts. The Biden administration had tied any prospective nuclear agreement to Riyadh joining the Abraham Accords, before Oct. 7, 2023, derailed those efforts. Today, however, the regional security environment has fundamentally changed. Should Riyadh eventually pursue a military nuclear capability, for example, Israel’s strategic position in the region would be significantly weakened. (LifeSiteNews) – The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced charges for a self-described, “100% woke” social justice activist it says is responsible for a series of hoax hate crimes and bomb threats at San Jose State University (SJSU).

According to the DOJ, since October 2024, SJSU campus police have documented more than 20 “hateful and threatening messages” left in campus restrooms, many of which detailing violent attacks supposedly to happen on specific dates.

Two such messages, discovered in November 2025, declared, “!WARNING! MASS BOMB NEXT WEEK” on a paper with drawings of swastikas and declarations such as “THIS IS A WHITE NATION” and “MAGA 2028,” indicating an intention to be perceived as the work of a Donald Trump supporter. Another message accompanying it declared, “Kill all Jews, Muslims, Chinks, and Mexicans.”

The message was found to bear the fingerprints of 30-year-old Ziheng “Tony” Fang, a SJSU grad student pursuing a master’s in data science. The College Fix reported that, rather than being MAGA, Fang identifies himself on various social media accounts as “100% woke,” a “social justice activist.” According to federal prosecutors, he “also includes a rainbow flag in his profile on Threads” and “has posted and/or shared content expressing anti-ICE, pro-immigration, anti-MAGA, and pro-Palestine views.”

Fang is being charged “with a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1038(a)(1) – False Information and Hoaxes,” which is punishable by fines and/or up to five years in jail, unless serious bodily injury results, in which case a violator would face up to 20 years. No such injury is alleged in this case; students and staff were notified of individual threats, and professors decided whether to cancel classes or hold them virtually on a case-by-case basis.

Hawley previously introduced legislation to ban the popular and dangerous abortion drug and give survivors a legal remedy against foreign abortion pill makers. Successfully curbing the illicit shipping of those pills into states where they are banned requires more, including intervention from the Department of Justice in the form of a criminal investigation, he wrote in a criminal referral on Monday.

“At the center of the effort is an entity called Plan C, a left-wing dark-money operation that styles itself a ‘public health information campaign’ but functions, in practice, as the referral and logistics hub for shipping abortion drugs into states whose laws prohibit it,” Hawley wrote in his letter to Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche.

A new State Department report contends Cuba has spent years quietly building a network of sympathetic American activist groups it can mobilize against U.S. policy, citing a recently circulated nationwide protest plan as evidence.

The plan, distributed in June as the “National Rapid Response Plan,” came from the National Network on Cuba (NNOC), a U.S. coalition of more than 60 organizations. The State Department ties the coalition to Havana through the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, or ICAP, a Cuban entity sanctioned in June over alleged support for Cuban intelligence operations.

The document instructs organizers to launch “coordinated nationwide actions” within 24 hours of any U.S. strike on Cuba, aiming to make it “politically and materially costly for the U.S. government to wage war on Cuba.” The report calls the plan proof of Cuba’s “subversive capabilities on American territory.”

In one of Ohio’s largest populations of Haitian immigrants in Springfield, community leaders are concerned about another challenge that could create — more vacant homes.

Last week U.S. CENTCOM announced two U.S. Service members were killed in Jordan after Iran struck a base in Jordan where U.S. troops were stationed.

U.S. CENTCOM further revealed a third soldier was MIA but later revealed an unidentiefd body discovered in the aftermath of the attack is believed to be the third service member.

Around the same time a U.S. soldier was killed in Iraq while conducting a controlled detonation of an Iranian drone.

The soldier who was killed during the controlled detonation has now been identify as 30-year-old Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton.

Senate Republicans are looking at going their own way on government funding, as House Republicans try to move a stopgap spending bill this week to fund the government until after the midterm elections.

GOP lawmakers in the Senate have had conversations with Democrats on moving a stopgap spending bill while also talking with the White House about anomalies, according to a person granted anonymity to disclose private discussions.

Sen. Patty Murray (Wash.), the top Democratic appropriator in the Senate, said she has had conversations with Appropriations Chair Susan Collins (R-Maine) about a Senate version of a stopgap spending bill along with potential “anomalies,” which are specific exceptions or exemptions to the flat funding of a continuing resolution usually noted to prevent disruptions to key services.

Murray wants to see if the House can get their legislation across the floor.

“Let’s see what happens in the House,” she said in an interview Monday.

Murray warned that chamber’s measure likely won’t have her support if it makes it through the House and over to the Senate.

“I understand there’s some real flaws with it. I am happy to look at a bipartisan CR, but I understand there’s some real problems on the House side,” she said.
