Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) said that Hasan Piker is “calling for violence against Jews, American Jews who support the U.S.-Israeli relationship, literally calling for them to be attacked, which is a Nazi-like formula” and Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed isn’t clearly denouncing Piker and is leaving the door open to continuing to campaign with him.

Gottheimer said, “El-Sayed’s statement totally fell short. You’re talking about a guy, Hasan Piker, who’s a — as you pointed out, he posts on Twitch and streams on Twitch, millions of followers. He is nothing more than a grifter and a hater. Although, unfortunately, many of my colleagues have decided to campaign with him. Many of — many Democratic candidates have campaigned with him, including El-Sayed, who in his — the last night before his primary had Hasan Piker front and center with him. And his statement yesterday, instead of coming out and condemning Piker, condemning his statement, saying he refuses to ever campaign with him again, he did nothing of the sort. Administrator with intersectionality experience sought

Pasadena City College is seeking a new associate dean who must have experience working with “queer communities,” according to the posted job description.

The role, which can pay as high as $166,000 per year, includes regular responsibilities expected of a college administrator focused on noncredit continuing education programs. The hire will work with local employers and monitor “budgets, grants, and contracts.”

This division of the college offers classes such as “Sewing Techniques for Older Adults” and “Computer Skills.”

But the “Associate Dean for Noncredit CE and Special Programs” should also have “demonstrated experience working with communities who have been traditionally underserved by higher education and experience in the pedagogy reflecting intersections of race, culture, class, ethnic, and queer communities.”

“Knowledge of equity-minded and student-centered practices in adult education,” is also a desired skill.

The college’s marketing director did not respond to two emails sent in the past two weeks. The communications office also did not respond to a voicemail left in the past two weeks. The Fix asked why it is important for this dean to have a background working with “queer communities.”

Most consumers assume that beef is one of the simplest foods on their plate. But what happens before cattle reach the dinner table might be more complex — and worse than you think.

“Even with seemingly healthy foods, they actually can be tainted in a way that could have severe health impacts on us. Like say, take beef,” BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales says.

“Beef is good for you,” she continues, “But then you start thinking about cows and all the hormones that get pumped into the cows that then get passed onto us when we eat beef.”

“And apparently these hormones are having such an adverse effect on these cows that I mean, I guess you could say it in a way that it’s turning some of them trans,” she adds.

In a study from West Texas A&M University, just over 20,000 finished cattle originating from 33 feed lots were examined. Among native steers, 14.55% were lactating. Among dairy cross steers, 19.66% were lactating.

And while those doing the research don’t agree with her, regenerative farmer Mollie Englehart believes that this may have to do with the hormones being pumped into the cows.
