Patel detailed the crackdown on terrorism during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week. The FBI director said that the agency has seen an 80 percent increase in criminal arrests, a 90 percent increase in violent-crime arrests, and a 30 percent increase in arrests involving gangs and criminal enterprises compared with the previous 18 months.

“In the past 18 months, the FBI has helped to locate and identify over 11,000 children who were the victims of crime,” Patel said. That’s up 21 percent from the preceding 18 months.”

Two recent lawsuits brought by the American Association of Professors against the Texas Tech and Texas A&M systems alleging free speech and academic freedom violations have raised questions, concerns, and debate about state authority over publicly funded college classrooms.

The lawsuits center on one-year-old policies within the systems limiting instruction on race or gender ideology without administrative preapproval, regulations that came in the wake of a new law giving campus leaders more oversight and authority over curricula.

The law, SB 37, was billed as a way to rid university curriculum of diversity, equity and inclusion dogma and refocus on workforce preparation, and campus leaders in the Lone Star State quickly took the opportunity to force professors to cull curricula viewed as too ideological.

While professors argue the systems’ policies are too vague, not enforced in a content-neutral manner, and have forced scholars to cancel classes and censor themselves, others see the oversight as long overdue.

Richard Lowery, a finance professor at UT-Austin and vocal DEI critic, said the state response comes after years of negligent oversight over academic institutions’ curricula.

“If they let the faculty run the school, it is still under state control,” he said. “The difference is that the legislature are elected representatives and must answer for their decisions to the public.”

NBC Boston went to unusual lengths to attack Desronvil, who, as it seems, was the only person to look at the evidence and not view this case as one where children must be sacrificed for a larger discussion about mental health. The NBC Boston story is part of a larger public smear campaign that began before a mistrial was even declared. The jury foreperson initially alleged that the holdout was not faithfully applying the law during deliberations. Kevin Reddington, Clancy’s defense attorney, tried to have the juror removed and accused him of “bias” against people with mental illness.

FBI Director Kash Patel said Saturday that the bureau has dramatically expanded its use of artificial intelligence, including deploying the technology to help prevent potential school shootings.

Patel said the FBI has used AI-assisted tools to identify threats and intervene before attacks could take place, pointing to a school shooting plot in North Carolina that authorities thwarted after receiving a tip through AI software.

That said, look, you can have the ability to speak. BASH: Mr. Ambassador, you are a decorated veteran. You served in an elite unit, the Green Berets, for 27 years defending freedoms like the First Amendment, and the president you work for just banned three news organizations. And he said it- it’s because he doesn’t like some of the things that are being reported.

WALTZ: Dana, the prior administration limited all kinds of journalistic outfits and journalists themselves that they deemed as right wing. Those have now been allowed onto the onto the facility. And the president doesn’t believe others are acting in good faith. Heck, I just saw one yesterday use anonymous sources referencing someone who’s dead. And so, you know, I think I would hope that the media would take a good introspective look at itself and its practices because it throws things out there and then puts a little baby correction that nobody pays attention to, and it sticks to people like napalm. And so it is- it is incredibly frustrating, I can tell you, as someone who’s serving in the public space, but meanwhile, again, the Supreme Court has been very clear in multiple cases going back to the 60s, there was a different your right to speak- different, your right to publish than having access to any government facility that you want.

NPR’s Weekend Edition September 12 story by “domestic extremism correspondent” Odette Yousef once again only spied extremists on the right side of the ideological divide, ignoring worse activity on the left, and ridiculously implied that conservatives invented “doxxing” — revealing private information about a person online toward hostile ends — after the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Yousef’s story began at Utah Valley University, the place where Charlie Kirk was assassinated on September 10 of last year.

The quiet of the courtyard belies the violence that took place in it a year ago, and the deepened social rupture that followed. The hard-right activist was killed in front of an audience of thousands while he was debating a student with progressive political views. The co-founder and then-leader of Turning Point USA, Kirk was arguably the most influential conservative youth movement leader in a generation – and his death set off an unprecedented frenzy of intimidation, harassment and threats that seemingly reached into every corner of the country.

“Unprecedented frenzy”? Was Yousef sleeping during Woke One, where anyone in liberal-leaning occupations who dissented online from the prevailing views about George Floyd, transgenderism, or vaccination were at risk of harassment or firing? X is full of woke atrocities that the elite media would prefer be flushed down the memory hole.

Now, Yousef seems to lament that liberals can’t express glee over the murder of conservatives without consequence. She conveniently pinpointed the “accelerated erosion of political norms” onto the “last decade” — i.e. Trump’s first election.

“After Charlie [Kirk was assassinated]. … you didn’t need to be [targeted by] one of the big [social media] accounts, obviously, for anyone to find you,” said Shauna Dillavou, CEO of Brightlines, a doxing prevention service. “Your neighbor found you or your friends found you. A comment in a closed group chat that would get screenshotted and passed up the chain. And that was the big shift: the neighbor-on-neighbor, trusted circle, inner sanctum violence.”

The majority of Democrats support the Democratic Socialists of America, a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday found.

The latest survey shows among Democrat, 59% consider themselves DSA supporters, compared to just 30% do not. Out of total voters polled just 26% consider themselves supportive of the DSA, compared to 66% who do not consider themselves backers of the socialist group.

If a candidate for elected office identifies as a DSA supporter, 17% of respondents say it makes them more likely to back that candidate, the survey states. By comparison, 43% of voters say it makes them less likely to vote for that candidate while 35% of respondents say it makes no difference.

The DSA did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Several Democratic socialist candidates have notched primary wins in recent months. Darializa Avila Chevalier in New York, Melat Kiros in Colorado and Donovan McKinney in Michigan all defeated incumbent Democratic lawmakers while Chris Rabb in Pennsylvania and Claire Valdez in New York won their open seat races.

DSA supporters generally have high levels of education but tend to fall within lower- to middle-income brackets, the DSA North Star’s most recent survey shows.

“Our candidates are going up against corporate backed opponents, and they’re going to need your help to get over the finish line this November,” the DSA said in a Oct. 3, 2025 X post.

In June, the DSA released a new platform, dubbed “Workers Deserve More,” which in part proposes to “draft a new constitution, and create a democratic socialist republic.” The socialist group’s platform has drawn intense public criticism from congressional Republicans.

There are two schools of thought with Lindsay Clancy. One is that she had no control over her actions when she murdered her three children because something something postpardum. President Trump said Thursday that he was at a crossroads over whether to renew attacks in Iran to wipe out the regime and bring the war to an end.

“I have a big decision coming up. Do I want to go in and annihilate them or do I not?” he told Axios. “It’s a big decision. Anything could happen with me.”

Trump’s comments echo previous threats he’s levied against Tehran since the war began.

But this time, he said, his next move is likely to be influenced by his meetings with Gulf allies at next week’s United Nations General Assembly meeting.
