A new comic book series was canceled after the writer mocked the death of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

Kirk was murdered during a stop on his campus tour at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, leaving behind his loving family that includes his wife and two children. Kirk was just 31 years old.

On the same day the first issue of DC Comics’ “Red Hood” was released in stores, the company announced it was canceling any future orders of the series. “Red Hood” is a spinoff from the “Batman” universe, with the main character being Batman’s former sidekick, Robin.

In a statement sent to retailers late on Wednesday, DC wrote, “DC Comics cancels existing orders for Red Hood #2 and Red Hood #3, and any orders for future issues of the series.”

“DC Comics will credit retailers for all invoiced copies of Red Hood #1, inclusive of copies that may have already been sold,” the publisher wrote, according to Popverse.

When facts emerged suggesting the assassin of Charlie Kirk may be yet another deranged Antifa or transgenderism extremist, CNN immediately went to great lengths to cover the murderer’s reported political sympathies.

According to authorities, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, the assassin’s gun contained ammunition inscribed with phrases supporting “transgender” and “antifascist” ideology. In an apparent attempt to hide that information, CNN decided to run with a headline describing the bullets as having been “scrawled with cultural phrases.”

The chyron CNN ran on television said the same: “Phrases Related to Cultural Issues Were Scrawled on Rifle.”

Probably worse is that CNN said the bullets were inscribed with a “range of phrases related to cultural issues” (emphasis added) so it could launder the idea that “it’s not yet clear if they point to a motivation in the attack.” No. The assassin’s likely motivations are quite clear. Kirk was famous for his conservative and Christian views. That would be an obvious top motivator for someone to assassinate him in such a public and deliberate fashion.

Kirk made his life’s work doing something leftists could never do: Have reasoned debate with those who disagree to advance public discourse. He went on college campuses to talk to anyone who wanted to engage. That’s dangerous to the left because they can no longer logically defend their irrational positions. It’s very likely that for this great sin, Kirk was assassinated.

The U.S. Supreme Court delivered a win for the Trump administration in its bid to enforce immigration laws in California on Monday. The ruling is the latest in a string of SCOTUS orders revoking overreaching injunctions issued by rogue lower court judges.

In its 6-3 decision, the high court placed a temporary stay on a lower court injunction that prohibited Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from carrying out deportation operations in Los Angeles, California. The injunction was issued in July by Biden-appointed District Judge Maame E. Frimpong, who argued that plaintiffs would likely succeed on their claims that the administration’s raids violated the Fourth Amendment.

According to Monday’s Supreme Court order, the temporary stay on Frimpong’s block will remain in effect “pending the disposition of the appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and disposition of a petition for a writ of certiorari, if such a writ is timely sought.” The stay will terminate if a potential petition from the government to SCOTUS is denied by the high court or if SCOTUS agrees to take up the matter and render a final judgement in the case.

Associate Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson would have denied the administration’s application for relief.

In a concurring opinion, Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh argued that “the Government has made a sufficient showing to obtain a stay pending appeal.” He laid out several reasons, one of which included the argument that “plaintiffs likely lack Article III standing to seek a broad injunction restricting immigration officers from making these investigative stops.”

On Monday afternoon’s CNN News Central, chief law enforcement and intelligence analyst John Miller and chief media analyst Brian Stelter offered two ridiculous reactions to last month’s brutal murder in Charlotte, North Carolina of a Ukrainian refugee allegedly at the hands of a thug with 14 prior arrests.

According to the Associated Press, CBS said it had edited the interview, which ran 16 minutes and 40 seconds in its original form, for length, and posted the full interview on its website and YouTube. As the AP correctly noted, Noem “made a series of unproven accusations about Ábrego García” in the portion of the interview that was cut. This is a pattern of behavior by the administration with respect to Kilmar Ábrego García, a Salvadoran refugee who had been illegally deported to the CECOT concentration camp in his country of origin.

In the context of the recent capitulations by CBS News and its parent company Paramount in the face of Trump administration demands, the announcement is noteworthy — and dangerous.

The California State University professor whom the California Faculty Association claimed was “kidnapped” by Immigration and Customs Enforcement has officially been indicted by a grand jury for assaulting federal officers.

In July, the CFA had alleged ICE tossed CSU Channel Islands professor Jonathan Caravello into an unmarked vehicle “without identifying themselves” or giving a reason for the arrest.

The night before the incident, Caravello had told the City of Camarillo Council that he was “patrolling the city streets following armed masked thugs trying to kidnap my [undocumented] neighbors.”

Caravello, who teaches math and philosophy and researches epistemology, rationality, and “transcendental arguments,” became involved with a protest against an ICE raid of the Glass House Farms marijuana facility.

Philadelphia: CAIR-Philadelphia is now “partnering” with city schools to promote “inclusive education.”

Among its offerings:

• A 9/11 curriculum that bans teachers from using the words “Islamic terrorists” or “jihadists.”

• A workshop titled “American Jews and Political Power: Myth or Reality,” teaching students about the ADL, AIPAC, and promoting BDS activism.

The workshop is run by Jacob Bender, who described October 7th as merely “the first day of the Gaza war.” He also served on the Philadelphia superintendent’s “anti-racist district culture” team.

So under the guise of “equity,” Philly schools are letting CAIR push propaganda that erases jihad from 9/11 and portrays Jewish political life as suspect.

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin withdrew his Israel-Gaza resolution from consideration after the members punted on a more extreme resolution.

The Democrats are in disarray.

Martin’s resolution demanded the release of all hostages, a two-state solution, and a ceasefire.

Martin said:

So today, I introduced a resolution, resolution three, which was focused on finding common ground in our party on a very heartbreaking humanitarian issue, and it’s aligned with our party platform. This crisis in Gaza is urgent, and my resolution is focused on that humanitarian crisis, and makes it clear that it must be addressed as the emergency that it is.

Now I know that there are some who are interested in making changes today, but as we’ve seen, there’s divide in our party on this issue.

This is a moment that calls for shared dialogue. Apparently, Dugan’s alleged conduct was so egregious that even one of the more notoriously leftist federal judges in the country couldn’t look the other way.

U.S. District Court Judge Lynn Adelman agreed with a U.S. Magistrate’s previous recommendation that Dugan’s motion to dismiss the federal government’s case be denied. Adelman scheduled an in-court hearing for next Wednesday in his Milwaukee courtroom to set up a timeline for trial.
